If I'm feeling a little sick (sniffles, cough), I go to work, but I don't have a problem with taking off work if I'm REALLY sick - feverish and whatnot. I'm not effective when I'm sick, so it's better to stay home, which helps me heal faster. Never. I lost it all. I never called in sick but like Darryl said, I took time off when I wasn’t but I always had to get my own sub and it I took them usually when we when on mini family vacations. I have asked for 2 days off for vacation days, my daycare parents knew what it was for, and 1 day off for being sick...in almost 2 years!! I'm lucky though I have a scheduled week off every month!! My daycare dad works a weird schedule and has 7 days off between shift changes. If you would have asked me this like 9-10 years ago my answer would have been very different!! NEVER!!
