Question of the day

nope
Yes! We took the kids last year and met our Vikings very own Jared Allen! We also got to see Taylor Swift up close (as in my daughter giving her a hug) but didn’t actually get to meet her. Does that make sense?! LOL!
As in spoke with and shook hands? Mohomad Ali. His hands are HUGE! He was here in Charleston back in he 80s to testify for one of his friend’s who was at the Federal Court House for a drug charge. I was a young guy working as a mail clerk for he Corps of Engineers.
He was asleep on a bench and I actually woke him up for his autograph. No idea where that piece of paper is today though.
I’ve seen Bill Murray a couple of times. He owns the Charleston River Dogs simi pro baseball team and also has a home here at the Isle of Palms.
We get fameous people here all the time but I’ve only met Ali.
Oh, I forgot about AJ Green. The wide receiver for the Bengals. He grew up here and my best friend’s son was the quarterback at Summerville Highschool where AJ played. He was just a kid then so I’m not sure he counts.
The reason AJ was so much better than other football players in highschool is his father held him back twice in elementary school so he would have an age advantage over other players.
I spoke for a moment and shook hands with Bernie Kosar, who was the Browns’ quarterback the last time they had a year worth talking about. That was a long time ago, unfortunately.
May have met one or two others. I honestly can’t remember just now. I attended two GWB rallies, but I don’t think I got quite near enough for a handshake. Close, though. I had the opportunity to meet Bill and Hillary back in the day, but I was not interested. My friends got their photo taken with them, though.
I met James Galway. Asked him for advice about fluting, and he gave it to me!! I was so nervous, I was shaking like a hog’s ear in a high wind. I was 18 at the time, and he was my idol.
I’ve met writers, and they definitely aren’t celebrities – well, except for Neil Gaiman, who’s kind of the rock star of fantasy writers… But no, I guess I haven’t actually met any celebrities now that I think of it!
I met and shook hands with Tom Poston. He was on the Bob Newhart show for those of you who don’t know who he is.
I wasn’t even thinking about athletes. I’ve met John Randall, Sean Gannon, Darrin Nelson,Chris Doleman and Ted Brown.
I think that’s all of them. I’d have met none of them if I hadn’t had boys who I had to stand in line with for autographs.
We met Darren Sharper (former MN Viking), and let me tell you he is so much prettier (Yes, pretty) in person. If that’s even possible!
I got to touch (shake) his hand. He’s such a nice guy.
He is a very pretty man. Yes, there ARE pretty men and he’s one of them. I used to think Sweetness (Walter Payton) was pretty too.
Oh, my comment from last night isn’t here
