Here
are some healthy idea’s to carry with you from Dr. Oz. I love every single suggestion and know it’s true that if you carry stuff like this with you it’s easier to avoid junk food binge eating while out and about.
Do you carry snacks with you or are you always pulling up to the drive through?
From Oprah

I would love to have the olives! What I do is, when I am on the road or just anywhere, I take rice crackers, caramel taste, with me. The are 50 % calories each.
It’s such a good idea to carry something with you. I’ve never been able to really get into rice cakes. You like them huh? I remember them being very dry. Do you put anything on them?
I always have food in my purse. Right now I believe I have 4 special k bars and oatmeal in my purse!
I could not be trusted with a bag of olives in my purse. Seriously, I’d have brine EVERYWHERE in under ten minutes.
If I know I’m going to be out for a while, I’ll take along some beef or turkey jerky. Or better, venison, when I can find it. And lots and lots of water. Most of my between-meal-snacking is emotion-based, so if I can talk myself through that, I can usually last until my next meal.
Oh, and I almost always have a “Z-bar” in my purse/truck for Josh, since he’s always on the way to somewhere.
I’ll have to pick some of those up. They look so fun. I’ve also started taking water with me too and if it’s warm I’ll even put it in a little cooler.
Hard boiled eggs and a nice chicken sandwich on one of those 99 calorie thin bagel things are good too IF I have the cooler. Sometimes I need more than a bar.
I LOVE blue diamond almonds, but did you know that it is much cheaper to buy a can and bag them up yourself? Check out my post here.
Almonds are a staple that I ALWAYS have on hand!
I agree. I buy the bigger bags too and package them in baggies and gram them and go. They give you a nice full feeling without overeating. Huge in protein also.
I’m not really a snacker, normally. However, I always like good ideas for healthy “meal replacements” when I’m on the go with my kids. I do use those nut butter packets sometimes. Usually I use fresh fruits and cut-up fresh veggies, pbj sandwiches or cereal bars, organic cheese sticks, stuff like that. My kids aren’t into nuts or olives, and I rarely buy stuff just for myself.
I almost always have Special K bars in my bag, for me. Granola bars for Bailey. I love Blue Diamond almonds. I grew up eating them. We had what seems like a life time supply. My grandpa worked for them, for over half his life. I find almonds, and nuts in general are too expensive, so they are a treat for me.
