Question of the day

If you could look into a crystal ball and find out your future and find out what was going to happen, would you and why or why not?

I don’t think I would want to know. If I saw anything too devastating I think I would become too depressed and stop living life. I’m all for taking life as it comes!

  2. Joy says:

I’m with you kweenmama. I would be so afraid that if I knew what was going to happen that I would just wait for things and would miss out on to much.

  3. Liza says:

NO WAY….I don’t feel you’d enjoy your life at all if you knew what was going to happen. Good or bad, not a chance I’d want to know.

  4. Jane says:

If it were all or nothing, then no. If we could find out little, small and fun things, then sure. That would be kind of fun. But to know ahead of time all the bad stuff, and we do know, there is bad stuff. I think I would dwell on that and not enjoy all the good times.

I wanna know. Possibly change things. everything I dread (losing family or friends) I know is gonna happen anyway

What a great question! My first reaction would be “well, yeah,” but then if I think about it . . . if there is no mystery surrounding the destination, that would kill a lot of the excitement in the journey. And if I didn’t like the ending, I’d probably be trying to change it, which would probably make me crazy since I’d know it was futile. If I’m going to be crazy anyway, I think I’d rather be crazy with hope and worry than with a feeling of futility. Did any of that make sense?

  7. SKL says:

When I think about it some more, I realize I really don’t think much about my future any more. I mean, I try to live in such a way that I feel good, keep my cognitive abilities, and can afford to live in my declining years, but that’s about it. I guess I can’t think of anything I particularly “want” to happen in my future. I must be old.

  8. Joy says:

SKL…yes it did make sense to me. But maybe I’m just crazy and old too!! LOL!!! 🙂

  9. amberfireinus says:

Nah… what would be the fun in that? Besides, half the fun is getting there isnt it?

  10. Joy says:

    Absolutly Amber 🙂

  11. candi says:

I would want to know, so ican prepare myself for what is going to happen.

  12. nikki says:

I would want to know. I’m not big on surprises. Unless it is a complete surprise then it’s fine but if I know somethings coming or something is going to happen I want to know. If you’re going to give me the option I’ll take it. Like at Christmas I know there are presents for me and it drives me nuts not knowing. I’m a spoiler I’ll admit it:)
