HI joy.I wouldnt want to go back in time,I have already grown and learned from my lifes mistakes.I also would not go in to the future, cause i enjoys the unfolding of my life. And i dont need to get older faster.I enjoy life one day at a time.

I would want to be right here, right now. Oh shit, that moment has passed. I’d want to be right in that moment just a little while ago when I started writing this. That was a glorious moment — one to be treasured forever. There shall never be another one like it.

Wait a minute! This moment is pretty good too! Damn. Now it’s gone. I can’t go on like this.

I would go back maybe 2-3 years ago and pick up that Cheetos bag left in the play room so my beautiful Lanie wouldn’t have gotten her head stuck in it and die. My black lab if you’re wondering. There will never be another like her. I miss her terribly, still.

I would like to go back in time and visit the childhood’s of my grandparents and parents. I think it would open a whole new world of understanding.

  7. Joy says:

God Nikki, that makes me want to cry. You know, I still miss Echo. You will never forget Lanie but it wasn’t your fault.

I would maybe like to go back. When my kids were both under 5, I loved it. It was the best time of my life. Being at home with them and playing with them. Jason’s hot wheel tracks down the steps and all through the living room and Toby’s legos strewn about everywhere. That was so great to me.

I would also pay more attention to my grandpa. He had the best stories from the past and this great box of photo’s. He talked of it so much that we tended to “tune him out” but I’m sorry for that now.

Being 50 now, no thanks on going forward!!!

I would go back to the very beginnings of my community, before there was a dam and buildings and streets, so that I could see what it looked like then (pre-1849). A historian’s natural curiosity makes me wonder.

  9. SKL says:

When I was younger, I always thought it would be so nice to go back in time to the “simpler” days, e.g., the farm communities or whatever. Now I would still like to go to a simpler time, but I don’t know what time that would be. I guess my life couldn’t get much simpler than it is and still be “life” with two one-year-olds. And of course there’s no question of not wanting my life to be complicated by my little ones. This is what I’ve waited for all my life – the only thing I longed for even more than “simpler times.”

I guess maybe the time I’m living right now is the time I’ll be wanting to go back to someday.

  10. Lisa says:

There are some parts of my life that I would like to go back, just to try and change a few outcomes. But don’t get me wrong I’m very happy at what life is and without certain choices and mistakes I wouldn’t have made it to where I am today.
