Rationally, it is much easier to forgive. Forget? Probably take me a lifetime ………… or so 😦

  2. TiredMom says:

It must be easier to forgive because I never forget.. Though i’m not very good at forgiving either..

  3. Lisa says:

I’m not good at either. Depends on how bad it is I guess. I definetly never forget, wish i could !!!

  4. SKL says:

I am OK at forgiving if the person is truly sorry. Forgetting – I have no control over that. I had a person visiting my house who did something really bad and then, in tears, asked me to “forgive and forget.” I was moved and promised to do so. I have not forgotten but will “act” like it never happened. I guess that is the most anyone can hope for in a case like that.

I don’t think you ever forget. I’m pretty big on forgiveness as we all have done things we’re not proud of. No reason to hold grudges. What’s the point really?

  6. Joy says:

I can very easily forgive. After all, we all make mistakes but I never forget. I think it lays dormant in your brain and every once in a while it rears it’s ugly head. Forgive, yes, forget, no way.

  7. kweenmama says:

There are some things we shouldn’t forget. The remembering is what prevents us from becoming a victim a second time. Forgiving is hard, but once accomplished, it brings a peace that can’t be surpassed.

Where do you come up with the ideas for all these “Questions of the day”? They really make us think!

  8. Joy says:

kween, it’s lucky that I get to do this with 3 other people. We talk and make suggestions and I look for them. Jason is very good at it and I write them down. I couldn’t do it at off the top of my head. I think of them at really strange times.

Thanks! Thinking is good for us!!

  9. Jane says:

I think it’s impossibel to really ever forget something bad. It is possible though to put it at the back of your mind and try to forgive. That’s my motto. It doesn’t do any good to hold on to it so you do have to try your best to move on.

  10. Sue says:

    I can forgive, but I don’t forget either. Sometimes I wish I could though…

  11. candi says:

I agree with nicole, coming from a family that all they do is hold grudges, I am a for giving person. Its hard to forget but……
