I had a son for this

Midnight gas station runs for pickles to keep a 8 month pregnant mom to be happy.

Taking out loans for diapers and formula.

Losing the freedom to go anywhere without a sitter.

Waking up to a complete mess in the kitchen, dining room, living room….well, any room that he’s been in.

Driving around with plastic taped to my car window because of a rock and a tennis racket.

Buying everything at Walmart that’s less than a dollar because….well, it’s less than a dollar.

Being able to see me as I might have been 25 years ago.

Coming home after a hard days work to hear “Dad’s home.”

Yes, I did……

HAVE A SON FOR THIS.

Not a second in the day passes where I question am I glad to be a dad. The scary part is I’m responsible for somebody else. DAD gets called out in a busy place and I’m the one who turns his head. So many dream jobs have come into my head and are gone even faster. But my dream job started nine years ago when my lovely wife to be walked into that 3 bedroom apartment of mine.

I love this one Jason! You were so good to me when I was pregnant. I remember us driving 20 minutes to Buffalo for a pomegranate! Hey those craving were horrible!! Think about how I felt:)
We are very lucky to have you, you put up with a lot and you’re still here!! If we were perfect what fun would that be. We have to keep you on your toes ya know!

This is a very touching post Jason. Your very lucky to be able to be this open about the love you have for you wife and son. I wish more men would/could be this open about love and not have to act so “I don’t care-ish.”

Men like you are hard to find in this day and age. I have been with my husband for going on 13 years now, and we have both realized that life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, and forget about the ones who don’t, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it, if it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. The love and devotion you have given to my sister and nephew is nothing short of amazing. Keep it up. I love ya bro!!!
