At Toby and Sue’s wedding. FOR SURE!!! I went into the bathroom when we got to the reception and was “fixing” myself. Playing with my hair, checking my nylons, straitening my dress and I glanced in the mirror and saw a man’s back!!! I had gone into the wrong bathroom!! I wanted to crawl into a hole!! He was one of their friends and it was one of the laughs of the night.
I also wanted to note that this was BEFORE there was any alcohol involved! Don’t know if that makes it better or worse.
LOL!!!! I didn’t know that happened Joy… but I probably don’t remember much from that night!!!!
I put the car in drive when I should have been going in reverse and ran right into a pole!! Yes I’m sure people saw me and I was completely mortified!! It was the Cadillac Joy but don’t worry it didn’t leave a mark on the car!!!! The worst thing was hearing it from all my guy friends, boy did they lay into me!!!
I had to think about this for awhile because I’ve had plenty of moments, but the topper would be my first semester is college and it was late afternoon, I was in the shower, and the fire alarm went off!!!!! I didn’t know what to do! Stay, go, prentend I didn’t hear it! Well, I went wrapped in my robe, hair dripping wet to stand in the crowd with everyone else! I felt like an idiot!!!!!!!!!!! I could hear people say, “I’m glad that wasn’t me!”
I’ve had plenty myself but I more or less don’t let anything REALLY embarrass me. I just blow everything off like whatever.
In my wedding when the minister said “do you take,” I said my own name instead of my husbands!! Everyone got a good laugh out of it.
I’ve had quite a few being a teacher of 1st graders but I went one day to eat with a student in the lunchroom, it was her b-day and her parents weren’t to involved and I felt bad for her and I went to sit down and missed the bench thing and landed right on the floor. The kids thought it was funny but I hurt for weeks!!
Well, I couldn’t possibly tell you or I’d be even more embarrassed!
