Do flip-flops count as shoes? If that is the case I own…too many! My shoes/sandals/flip-flops take up three shelves in my closet. Hmmmm, time to do some decluttering, I think.

My husband thinks it’s an excessive amount…he really has NO clue how many shoes many women own….
I have 6 pairs of flip flops, my Uggs are my fav.,thanks Mom!! I have only 2 pairs of sneakers, and 3 pairs of boots. Going out boots and I never wear them because they are painfully uncomfortable but really cute so I had to have them. Oh and 2 pair of hells, 1pointy and 1 squared. Sue has the pair I want now. I think they are Sketchers, you know Sue the ones with the straps!! I told Jason a few nights ago during a Sketcher commercial that I wanted them. Hint, hint, Jason…my birthday is coming!! 8 1/2 just in case you were wondering, any color will do:)
I am impressed that many of you have so few pairs. I don’t think I know any women with so few pairs. Around me, the number of pairs I have is considered really skimpy. My sisters joke that I am Mother Teresa.
I have 2 pairs of sneakers – the nasty old pair I wear, and the decent-looking one I put on when I have to look presentable. Then one pair of low black heels for dresses / suits, three pairs of flats (black, brown, tan) for business casual, one pair of black dress flats for dressy slacks (think orchestra, play house), and a light pair for summery dresses (think June weddings). That’s about it. I guess I should have said I have 8 pairs. But I don’t see how I could get by with only three like some of you. Maybe if I didn’t count the ones I hardly ever wear. I think my sister would die if she had to get by with only three pairs of shoes. For her, I’d guess she’s closer to 103.
I’m kind of wondering why I asked this question! Kind of dumb of me. I can’t even count how many shoes I have. You are all talking flip flops and winter boots and tennis shoes!! Merdi!!! I just have a “little problem” buying shoes, I think they’re cute and half the time I never wear them!! I’m pleading the 5th. I may go count them later becasue off hand, I have NO idea.
I have six pairs by the front door right now. I wear all of them at some point. I have 15 more pairs in my closet ranging from dress shoes to more sandals. I have 2 pairs of snow boots if we’re going that far. The sad part? Last month I cleaned out my closet and threw out I think 5 other pairs! The ones in my closet I don’t wear that often, but for that right outfit you need the right pair!
I have kids, so I only have 4 pairs of shoes and 1 pair is actually from when I was in High School. They are a pair of Granny Boots that my mom bought me for Christmas back in 1987.
I think there is some fibbing going on here. I just counted I have 9 pairs. Three pairs I wear alot. 1 work, 2 for casual. 2 pairs of golf shoes, 1 pair cowboy boots YE HAW, actually I never wear them. I have 3 pair of dress shoes and I wear dress shoes maybe once every 5 years or so. I almost forgot 1 pair of snow boots I wish I didnt have to wear them ever again, I’m hating winters more and more.

5 pairs of dress shoes that are hardly ever worn
4 pairs of tennis shoes, are all pretty worn
3 pairs of moccasins
3 pairs of “adventure” shoes, hiking etc.. you all know how much I go hiking….but just in case, I’m ready!
3 pairs of slippers
1 pair of rubber boots
7 pairs of flip flops (be quiet!)
3 pairs or winter boots
2 “fun” dress up shoes
4 pairs of clogs (again, ssshhh!!)
Total=35
I didn’t count my bowling shoes, do they count?? I only have one pair of those.

I keep what I don’t wear upstairs in the spare room so out of sight…you know what they say. The 3 pair I really wear most of the time are in the back closet. Maybe I should delete this post before Paul gets home!! LOL!!! I didn’t realize that I had that many. Hey, I like shoes, I just don’t wear many of them much. Like Sue said, the perfect outfit has to have the perfect shoes!!
You guys all make me laugh. You have such a good time on here. I wish I had more time to visit. I’m not touching this question with a ten foot pole!! Let’s just say I have to dress up for work so I have a LOT of shoes. Then when I get home, I have to have something comfy to put on so I have a lot of those too. Great question.
I have ten to twelve pairs, which includes winter boots. Of these, I wear four pair continually.

You guys are a hoot. Do a lot of you know each other?? I started to count up everything like you did but I can’t. I have barn boots and shoes and I just leave them there. I do have a lot of shoes and boots. Most of them aren’t fancy like I’m sure yours are. I do have a few pairs of dress shoe’s but they’re pretty basic. I guess you buy what you need and what you wear.
