Exotic or crazy? Exotic I guess is yachting around the islands off Rio, crazy is probably Saudi Arabia – not many get to go in that aren’t muslim.
Exotic?? What’s that? Do they have places like that in this country?? Canada’s the only other country I’ve been to and I wouldn’t call it exotic. So the most beautiful place I’ve ever been is where my sister lives. Up in the California mountains. Her backyard is a forest and you can hike down this path to a small stream. It’s breath taking. Literally it takes your breath away just to get down there but it’s worth it. It’s beautiful.
Never been to a place I’de call exotic, but I’ve been to some places here in Minnesota that where just beautiful. I took a trip up to Buyck, MN. to visit my mother about 12yrs. ago and we stayed at a lodge on crane lake. The resort is an island, the only way in is by boat ofcourse and we stayed there for a week. We spent all the time out on the boat and I’ve never seen so much wildlife in my life, we seen wolves, bear, deer, and we caught a lot of fish. And if we didn’t make it back to the resort before dark we just camped where ever we could, and ate what we caught. We had fish omelets cooked over a fire. Also I’ve never seen so many stars in my life, we got to see a northern lights show too. It was pretty amazing!!
I don’t know if it’s exotic really… but we honeymooned on Maui. I also spent a summer living in Biarritz France… southern (atlantic side) France toward Spain. that was great for a 17 year old
India or China – touring the old historical palaces and such, and driving through the countryside. Rio and its surroundings were nice, but we didn’t see much in the way of old civilization there – though that may be because we didn’t stay long enough.
Hub and I did a Western Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. I guess that’s been the most exotic trip for me. Hub has been EVERYWHERE.
Exotic is a strange word isn’t it?? I’m not really a traveler either but the most beautiful place I’ve ever been is Banff, Alberta Canada. With the mountains and lakes. In a matter of minutes you go from needing winter coats to summer shorts. Lake Louise is breathtaking.
I also love our north shore here in good old MN with the views of Lake Superior. I like to get up there every fall. I have a lighthouse “thing” and love to be up there on Nov 10 when they light Split Rock on the anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald. It’s so moving that you can’t even speak.
My husband and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon (3 years later!). It was tropical, but scary. As long as you stayed in the resort you were fine and the people were nice. I would not have stuck one toe out by myself!
I’ve never been anywhere exotic.. The extent of my goings have been to SanAntonio and Mississippi
I loved going to Africa. I won’t ever forget it.
I don’t enjoy travel. If I’m going to spend that kind of money I’d rather have something nice for my home. Our last “trip” was a hot tub and new deck that we enjoy all the time and not just in a memory. I think I’m like my dad that way. He just couldn’t see spending all that money and then coming home minus all that money and have nothing to show for it.
