Me: no, I think they are cool. I researched and taught a class on spiders when I was a kid, and I’ve been a fan ever since. Actually, I think Charlotte’s Web might have gotten me on their good side first. Awesome book!
A & E: We are suspicious of all small moving things, but hold no special abhorrence for spiders. As long as they move along and don’t come too close.
Yes!! I hate the beasties! I demand my husband save me from their gaping clutches.
Of course they are the most ferocious beasts in all of the world, their teeth and their sneakiness are just beyond my levels of sane calm. I do not go near them and once slept at a friend because we were to scared to kill one… I am not joking.
I’m afraid of a lot of things but spiders just isn’t one of them. I don’t know why. I won’t even kill them. I put them in a Kleenex and take them outside and I love daddy long legs. I think they are neat.
If they surprise me they scare me, but otherwise I can squash them with no problem. I think they seem scary b/c they can move fast and have so many legs.

Ok I’m moving to where you are Joy then I can phone you up to come help – tell me do you get big spiders over there. I mean big as in as big as your hand? That of course will be my deciding factor.
If I saw a spider as big as my hand, then maybe I’d be scared of them!!
