I have always loved the fall! Here’s why:

    1) Back to school / new beginnings (yeah, it’s cool for about 2 weeks)
    2) Lovely weather – warm sun shining through cool, crisp air
    3) The smell of leaves drying
    4) The “true colors” of all the trees – flaming glory
    5) My birthday
    6) My daughter’s birthday
    7) The anniversary of my daughters’ homecoming
    8) Thanksgiving
    9) Preparing for Christmas
    10) First snow, icicles

The fall colors are beautiful here. The crisp fresh air off the lake. Anticipation for snow!!!

  3. nikki says:

Bailey says jumping in the leaves.

  4. Sue says:

This is my favorite season! I love the color change, the warmth, but yet it’s not too freaking hot, the cool nights, and getting out clothes you haven’t worn for a few month. I hate when it gets cold though!

  5. nikki says:

Oh yea I can’t wait to wear all my new sweaters!!

  6. Joy says:

I’m not sure if I can say anything bad about fall. I love everything about it. The air, the colors, getting the garden ready for winter, going to the apple orchard and taking a hay ride, picking out pumpkins and eating the apples. And “Are you ready for some football??? I love the fall.

  7. Sue says:

The kids say jumping in the leaves!

  8. SKL says:

I can’t believe I forgot about football. I need to check into the workaholics rehab clinic.

I love hayrides, too. And fall is when I used to put on a big “harvest party” for the kids in a local social service organization – before I had kids. I hope they invite me and my kids to their party this year – it’s in a barn with hayrides and such – hopefully they still love me though I’m not the sponsor throwing the party any more.

Apple Orchads, and Pumpkin patches, leaves, be able to sit outside with your big comfy sweat pants and sweat shirts, and enjoy it.
