I think I’ve just hit the jackpot in my head… in the US do you get Cookie restaurants? I mean how awesome would that be right? We can do it and become well cookiefied yers?
What you think?
My parents owned a steakhouse restaurant when I was little, I remember sitting in my highchair in the kitchen. I then worked in the restaurant business for 20 years myself as an adult. My dream restaurant is a 50’s style restaurant ice cream parlor and all. Someplace that is family friendly yet cool enough for the teens to hang out at. Hey if you are going to dream, dream big! 🙂
A tea house that serves desserts.
I like Just A Mom’s idea. I’ve always wanted a good old fashioned family type restaurant. How roast beef sandwiches and stuff like that. I’d put my family to work.
That would be fun to run a diner together. Jason and I have always wanted have our own sports complex/bar/grill. We would never leave!!! And for sure we would have a nice big house on the same property but far enough away to not be bothered when I don’t want to be bothered.
As soon as I read the question I immediately had the answer.
Family centered, no smoking, home cooking (including bar-b-que). I would have a barrell of roasted peanuts for snacking on (free of course).
Kids’ menue with little dot to dot and coloring page and give each child a four pack of crayons.
I would have high chairs that could be flipped over to accomodate an infant car seat, booster seats for toddlers.
Televisions on the walls. One wall would have sports on them and the other wall would have children’s probraming on it.
Wow, that’s pretty detailed for never having given it a thought. lol
I don’t know, but I do know one thing. I would have the bathroom stall doors open outward, because I hate it whenever the stalls in restaurant bathrooms are so tiny that whenever you open up the doors inward, you get cornered and backed up into the toilet.
For sure a bar and grill, sports type, jared would be in 7th heaven to own a few softballs fields.
How about vegetarian pasta?
There are a lot of good ideas here. I like all of them. I do like down home family eating. Who can’t love a hot roast beef sand???
I would have a beautiful gourmet upscale Eclectic mix of cuisines. I would have a indoor area that would not be appropriate for children, but the garden would be. I would not serve children crappy fried foods, but foods that would be healthy and interesting to them. There are many that they would like to be honest.
The interior of the restaurant would be romantic and intimate. Each course would be designed to be interesting and filling without being overwhelming massive quantities. I would also work on being reasonably healthy and use fresh ingredients.
