When I was a kid: I’d probably plan to run away.

Now: I don’t think I’d take it that hard! The people I care about would have a good reason if my birthday slipped their mind. The rest of the people? Well, when it comes to birthday tauntings, less is more.

Lol this is going to sound terrible but my niece found out it was her 5th birthday when she got a phone call from a friend… Not one of the 4 adults living in that house remembered. Sad huh.

Me, people forget often and that is fine with me, I am almost happy when they do.

I actually just went through his, my brother and one of my sisters forgot this year. My brother felt horrible and by the end of the night he came in and gave me a hug and apologized. My sister never called me, 2 days after my birthday she left me a message on my computer saying she was sorry. A phone call would have made me feel better. You have time to send me an email but you can’t call?? My feeling were hurt but life goes on.
I’m not sure what I would’ve done as a child. Barricade myself in my room and cry!!! I’ll ask Bailey when he gets home.

You mean to tell me Josh forgot your b-day and he lives with you???? I would have short sheeted his bed!!! I’m NOT kidding.

Were you including brothers? My brothers probably have no idea what my birth date is. I know theirs, of course, but I don’t make it a point to contact them on their birthdays, except for the “big” ones. I do for my sisters, and they do for me. I guess women are more sentimental.

My brother once forgot his wife’s birthday even though it’s the same day as his stepson’s and they were making a big deal out of the kid’s birthday. Men – I give up.

Yes Joy, granted he worked all day and probably didn’t even think about it. But Brent came over and yelled happy birthday right in front of him and still he left without saying anything to me. That really hurt my feelings. I think he felt like an ass not remembering but he looked more like an ass after leaving and not saying anything after he found out!! Whatever, he apologized and I forgive him. What do you do?!
Bailey says he would be very sad and mad, he would ask everyone,”what’s wrong with you?”
