Depends who’s driving. If it’s Auntie R, I do it because I want us all to arrive at our destination alive. With most people, I don’t.

In all honesty my arms aren’t long in enough

LOL I’m a sideseat driver. Part of my anxiety disorder, I think. I prefer to drive myself, and most anyone else scares the crap out of me. It’s the “lack of control” thingy. heh

  4. K. Trainor says:

Not unless my husband irritates me. Then I may let a comment or two slide through my teeth. ;0)

  5. Sue says:

Oh, I’m with K. Trainor!!!! If you rode with my husband you’d understand! He’s a good driver, but it can be scary at times:)

  6. Joy says:

YES…I want to get where I’m going alive!!

  7. nikki says:

Only with my husband but I try not to because I hate it when he does it to me. I don’t ever say anything really I just tend to use the imaginary break peddle on the passenger side or put my hands up like that is really going to make his stop or something!!LOL

  8. Just a Mom says:

Nope. If I don’t like the way someone drives I will not ride with them again.

  9. SKL says:

I don’t like to drive certain people because they are such a pain. One does that “OMG we’re gonna crash” thing every time it’s necessary to slow down. No words, but the whole quick in-breath and hands on the dashboard thing. Like, dude, in the 13 years we’ve been driving around, have I EVER failed to perform a smooth and timely stop with you in the car? No? Then shut the hell up! The other one is like, “go – go – pass that car – hurry up, you’re gonna stopped by the light – why are you doing a complete stop, it’s only a stop sign – go – go – go!” AARRGH!

When I’m the passenger, it’s more like, “could we stay in our lane? The speed limit is 65, not 80. There’s a cop. Is getting there 1 minute faster really worth a ticket? Please don’t kill my children.”

  10. Jane says:

Every once in a while I’ll use that imaginary brake but not really to often. If I complain I hear “do you want to drive” or he’ll just drive faster.

Well that’s kinda like asking Brett Farve is he helps quarterback!

Of course, with my superior driving skills I have no choice but to not only “side seat drive” but also navigate the shortest, quickest routes… depending on the time of day and traffic flow. 😉

    no not really
