1) My children are a gift from God, their birth mothers, and their foster mothers.
2) I don’t remember giving any fabulous gifts. Maybe I’ve given so many that none of them stand out. I do have about 30 people to buy for each Christmas.
This is going to sound so corny but ok
Love, true unconditional love, it happened to me recently from friends and it was and is incredible.
My then-future husband (boyfriend at the time) was there for me when I went into labor with my daughter. He had food poisoning, was throwing up left and right (the hospital almost admitted him), and my mother made him leave the room for the actual birth, but he was still there. Best gift ever. For something a little more materialistic, for my 22nd birthday, he ‘bought’ me a car (he let me pick one out). I lurve my Passat, and I’m glad I talked him out of the Jetta – a week later we found out we were having twins!
The best gift I’ve ever given would be the children. My husband was a father waiting for his family to find him, and he has often told me that Sophia and the boys were the best things that ever happened to him (besides me). : )
Best gift I have ever received and hopefully the best gift I have given is a locket that my mother handed down to me when I was 16. It was apparently my great-grandmother’s and it has a lock of hair from each generation in it. I have continued the tradition and have handed it down to my first daughter on her 16th birthday. But I keep it in my jewerly box, as did my mom, until said first born is a little more responsible.
