I don’t put too many things in the microwave. I actually use my stove or oven for a lot. I never microwave plastic, I hear that’s not very good for you. I use it for stuff like my lean pockets and oatmeal, and to reheat my coffee.
I don’t like to use the nuker, but I’ll use it if I just need to re-heat something or to heat my kids’ milk just a little bit (yeah, I know, spoiled brats). On rare occasion I eat a microwave dinner that someone else bought.
My microwave went out close to 3 weeks ago now. So I’ve missed it for popcorn, but now use the air popper; my coffee gets cold..must not need anymore caffeine!; I reheat food in the warmer of my toaster oven (never used it before until now..). I don’t buy microwave dinners, but last grocery shopping (knowing the micro was out), I had a coupon for a microwave choc chip cookie dessert – bought it; got it home and realized – no microwave. I had to laugh!
When I had my own place I used it a lot, now I just put my bean bag in to warm my feet – so cold here!
I use ours to reheat food for the kids (I don’t eat leftovers), and to pop popcorn. Mostly, I use it for a cooking timer. I used to use it to clean sponges, but I run them through the dishwasher now. Oh, and lean pockets, but I don’t buy them much.
My oldest daughter thought the microwave was just a popcorn popper until she was about 6 years old.
I use it now to boil water or reheat food.
I do have an aunt who actually cooked her thanksgiving turkey in it one year. It was actually not bad!
We use our microwave every single day. Rarely to cook a meal. Mostly to reheat things.
Winter time is best for the hot chocolate thing.
We use it all the time! That’s also because we purchased about 4 years ago a combination microwave/toaster oven made by Sharp. We love it! It’s called the Sharp Warm & Toasty (which the name always makes us laugh!)
We haven’t used our actual toaster since, we always use the toaster oven built into the microwave to make everything from garlic bread to waffles. We tend to use the micro to defrost things, or occasionally melt a cup of butter for cooking. We use the timer feature on it almost every night when cooking dinner.
We use an old fashioned tea-pot for heating water for tea and hot chocolate.
Everyday for any and everything!
I use mine everyday for a lot of things. I usually always make my lunch (soup) in it. I reheat every cup of coffee except for my first one. Frozen or canned vegetables I nuke. We don’t eat a whole lot of micro popcorn anymore but I did use it for that. I don’t make whole meals in it but I sure don’t know what I’d do without it. I reheat a lot of stuff in there.
I use ours everyday and like mostly everyone else, mostly to heat things up. When we were childless, I used it way less.
