When I was a kid, I might have said yes! I hated school, and had various ideas on how I could learn more outside of school than inside. Both of my parents were done with school on or before their 16th birthdays. I was aware of the GED (my parents took it when I was little), and I would have quit any day if I could take the GED before age 18.

I not only would have but I did. There were a lot of reasons for it. It’s a long story but I did get my GED.

I quit in the 10th grade, went into the Navy and got my GED.

Our little first grader would never want to quit school.

Our little four year old would quit right now if we let him.

Last Friday he was in the Principle’s office twice AND the after school lady called and said; “Mr. X we need you to come and get Porter right away. He’s not listening to us.”

Needless to say Porter did not have a very good evening.
