Chunky Wild Rice Soup from Nikki

Chunky Wild Rice Soup:
3 chicken breasts
1cup~wild rice
1lb.~rendered bacon
8oz.~Velveeta cheese
4cans~cream of potato soup
32oz.~1/2 & 1/2
Cook rice, cook chicken and bacon, add 1/2 & 1/2, soup and Velveeta. ~Heat and enjoy!!! I let it simmer in the crock pot all day:)

    Sounds delish – that pot though looks a lot like a traditional South African Potjie yum! I shall have to remind you of this when I visit!

    This is the best soup I’ve ever had!!! The original recipe doesn’t call for chicken but I add it to make it more filling. You have to try it!!!

    The thing that takes the longest is the rice and it takes about an hour. But while that’s cooking I just do everything else. It probably looks gross to kids, Bailey didn’t think he’d like it, but I always make him try and he loved it.
