I’ve talked a lot about our animals so I thought I’d take today to introduce you to them. I’ll start with the dogs.
Here is Ella on the left and Ashley on the right. Ashley is 8 and is a Yellow Lab. We aren’t sure what Ella is apart from a pig puff ball. The vet thinks she’s half Golden Retriever and English Springer and we aren’t sure how old she is. She started out down at Toby and Sue’s but figured out with a quick run, she was here ready to play with Ashley so she’s since moved in.
Here is Ella and Emma. We had Emma first or I wouldn’t have named her that being the names are so close. I was reading a book at the time of her arrival and the main characters name was Emma. Ella is really Ella-Bella and Emma is usually Emmers anyway. Don’t you love the way Emma’s paws are around Ella’s?
Here is Ashley and Malcolm. Either Malcolm or Emma are always sleeping on Ashley. Malcolm and Emma are brother and sister and yes, we have mom. She is below.
She looks mad in this but she’s just not photogenic. I’ve never been able to take a good picture of her. Her name is Toto. She is the master around here and takes NOTHING from the other cats.
Meet Willy. This is most likely one of the nicest cats you’d ever meet. He just showed up here and won the lottery when we took him in. Every box or container he sees, he thinks is for him to climb in. Trinity named him back in the day when she watched Free Willy I don’t know how many times a day.
Here’s Princess Madeline. AKA Maddie, Mads, Madders. Daddy calls her Poopsie, I call her Shitsky and many other things. We adore this kitten.
Love this one. She doesn’t have a care in the world.
Guys sleeping.
Willy and Maddie. She likes to play more than the other cats but they will if she pesters them enough.
I’ll end with this one of Maddie The Watchcat. She’s guarding the cookies Sanity and will report to Amber or I if any are missing!!!
If anyone has any pictures of the four footed critters in their life that they’d like to share. Please email them to me and I’ll put them in a post.
Jason and Nikki’s extended family will be on here tomorrow.
Aw, cute pets! We only have one dog and one guinea pig, but when I was growing up we had quite a few cats. I miss having cats but can’t have them now because my kids have inherited their dad’s allergies.
You have quite a crew there. I have the three cats and my kids have a dog downstairs. The dog has been here 1 1/2 years and has never met the cats. I think they would destroy the dog. I love my kitty boys though. I’d get more cats but my daughter would have a fit. I could easily turn into one of those crazy old cat ladies with 20 indoor cats. Though I would keep everything clean. I change the kitty litter sometimes twice a day. I love the photo of the cat sleeping on top of the dog.
I have been called “the cat lady” Joan. I just can’t seem to say no. I don’t see to much of them (except for Maddie who only goes outside on a leash) in the summer. They are mostly outside but in the winter, I spend a fortune on litter. I change it LOTS.
I don’t have any tame critters. Well, the raccoons in the basement think they own the place, but I’m not sure that counts. We get a lot of wild animals and neighbor cats in our backyard, which I really prefer since I don’t have to clean up their hair or poo.
Most of my family has pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens, and probably others at any given time. Personally I just don’t have time to do an animal justice.
Yours are cute – I love how well they all get along. My parents used to have a dog and a cat; the cat came along first, so she was the queen. She would sit on the arm of the couch and smack the puppy on the head when he ran by. Later they would roll on the floor wrestling and trying to bite each other’s butts. Puppy thought he was a cat and Kitty was his mother. He would purr and sit on the couch looking out the window all day. Critters are so nice for keeping my parents just the right kind of busy – plenty of nurturing, but no worries about drugs or backtalk.
That’s a big furry family! We have two cats, both adopted when I was experiencing a desire for more children. I can’t handle any more cats, so now Tim has moved on to stuffed animals. : )
Well, like Joy said, Ella started out at house, but has since moved in over at her house! I would let her out to go potty and not 30 seconds would go by and she’d be running across the field to see Ashley. She is very happy there and loves when we come to visit, but seems to say goodbye suckers when we leave!
We have 3 outdoor cats. Toto started out as Trinity’s, but one summer she just was gone and she was gone for almost a year. We came home one evening to a cat sitting on our steps and it was Toto looking all fat and happy. Someone must have taken her in b/c she didn’t hang outside long at our house b/4 finding her way inside at Joy’s. I think Joy just has the magic touch!
AWWWWW!!!! I love those pictures Joy!!! And I adore all of our 4~legged family members!!! They all have provided us with lots of laughs!!!
Someday Willie will come up missing, don’t come looking here though I don’t like Willie at all;)
You keep your mitts off Willy Nikki. I will come to your house first!! Mike’s second!!!
