Question of the day

I always tend to pack one jacket too many and don’t get me started on the shoes (well boots)… but I normally take enough, not too little and not too much if that makes any sense… always ALWAYS space for cookies!
A little too much, but I’m working on that. I usually regret it in the end, but up front, I’m thinking, it’s better to have one too many than one too few . . . .
Being a seasoned traveller… I have learned… I pack the perfect amount. Mix and max non wrinkle everything. Absolute must for the business traveller!!!
I always over pack. I can always get my suitcase closed though. I’m with SKL, better to have one to many than not enough.
Usually too much. I have been caught far from home without things I wanted/needed. So now, I make sure to take extra.
I should note that I usually have the smallest bag even though it “could” be even smaller.
Once went to China for 10 days and they lost my bag. I was so glad I happened to pack a couple of extra items in my carry-on. However, shopping at a Chinese “grocery store” without an interpreter was a “memorable” experience, so in retrospect it was pretty cool. And I did learn that a lot of those things I thought I couldn’t do without weren’t all that necessary.
Over the years, I have figured out how to pack just enough for the kids, and a little extra for myself. We only really travel to my mom’s or my inlaws, and if we ever need something extra (diapers, etc), we can run out and buy them. Dirty clothing can be washed.
I used to over pack when my daughter was an infant, but with the boys, heck, I barely even carried a diaper bag after 9 months. I’d just stick a few diapers and wipes in my purse, maybe a bottle, and I’d be good to go.
Too much. I always think, “what if this or that” and then I end up with too much!
TOO MUCH!
i pack about 1 week ahead, and then every day take alittle bit out until i can shut the case…..
my hubby and son hate it!
Usually, I manage to pack just the right amount. Maybe a couple of pieces over, but that’s because I’m shooting for different kinds of weather. When you’re a Minnesotan, you never can tell what the weather is going to do and it’s easy to assume that every place else is the same.
It depends. If I’m flying, I get it just right (which is to say I pack very little). If I’m driving, I tend to pack more, simply because there is no hassle like you have when flying. I did draw the line last summer at some items a family member wanted to bring that I knew we’d never use, though. My car isn’t *that* big.
I always pack for an extra day. It drives my husband nuts!
