I’m lucky enough to have two best friends.

J inspires me to chase my dreams – five years ago, she packed up her life and moved to Alaska. She only knew two people there, the couple she would be working for, helping them prepare their kennel-full of dogs for the Iditarod. She is still there, having bought her own house, and bred her own kennel – she’s up to 18 dogs – and is considering participating in the Yukon Quest, a race similar to the Iditarod, from Fairbanks, AK to Whitehorse, Yukon.

D inspires me to be more ‘together’ – she’s always put together, is neat and tidy without being freakish, and always has the cutest clothes. And on top of it, she is the sweetest, most down to earth, and funniest person.

They’re honest. Ask them anything and you get the real answer not some sugar coated blah blah blah that leaves you wondering if it was the truth or not.

  6. Just a Mom says:

The fact that I know she is always there if I need her.

I have only had 1 true best friend. She was my best friend when I was 16, we’ve kept in touch for the most part during those years but in the last year have been extremely close, talk everyday. She is and forever will be my #1 best friend. The thing I most admire about her is she NEVER second guesses me or our friendship. She’s my sista from another mista!!

  8. Joy says:

I admire her personally just for who she is and how many irons she has in the fire and the fact that she’s got the ex husband from hell who was born of the devil and she hasn’t killed him yet. She’s had a lot of bad things happen to her and yet she always seems to rise above it all.

For me, she has always been there. If I called her and needed her, she would be here. I’ve never had a friend like her. At one time in my life a lot of people turned their backs on me and if not for her, I’m not sure what would have happened.

The way that he rose above his upbringing, and stopped a circle that needed to be ended.

  10. Amy Hunter says:

I love my best friend because she thinks about the world around her and has wonderful insights. She cares about people, she makes me think, and we can talk to each other about anything.

  11. Candi says:

Well, Best Friend, what really is one. I have/had a few ones. I rarely talk to the one that was my longest, I admired her by the way she was there for me and I was there for her. My current best friend is a Guy, and I admire his honestly, trust and loyality to being a great friend. I have another one, although we dont hang out, and only talk on the internet. Which I hope will change soon. Hang out more. I admire the fact that she excepts me for me, and it there for me when I need to talk about some important issues. We were close like sisters from the start, and we faded, and I am hoping that will change soon. As we both dicuss our friendship and re meet. lol.
