Mac & Cheese! (From a box.)
No, seriously. I’d have this every other day if I could get away with it. Even if someone else was cooking.
Well, I really like spaghetti with meat sauce too, but I don’t buy beef any more, so that’s out. I do scarf it down when my dad makes it, though.
My lasagna. Everytime my in-laws come to my house I have to make it. Man I wish they would come over more often! 🙂
My dad and brother really like my potato salad and for whatever reason, Paul’s family likes my dill dip. I have no idea why unless they flatter me and just want me to make it. It’s just dill dip!!!
Oh, as far as me being asked to cook for family gatherings – no. I had the job of cooking dinner 3 days a week when I was 12 (Mom & Dad were at work, older brothers at football). I wasn’t real good about starting the food on time, so I used to adjust the oven temperature to make up for it. So ever since then, I have a reputation as a terrible cook. That’s OK with me, because I hate cooking and have never made any efforts to disprove my bad rep. My responsibility at family dinners is to bring the wine and clean up afterwards. Since most people hate cleaning, it works out.
I’m not sure I’m really that great at anything I make. No one ever asks me to bring one particular thing…now I’m a little hurt!! JK, I like to cook most everything, as long as it turns out okay I’m happy about that!!!
I don’t think I have one particular thing either. Toby’s a better cook, but we don’t have requests!!!
I’d be lying if I said I had one specific dish I am a master at, however in the winter months I do get in the mood to bake bread the old fashion way and make a wicked cream of potato soup,
