Maybe for as bit, just to see. But I wouldn’t sit and watch all day. I know he’s well behaved in school. I just like seeing him interacting with other kids.

  2. Joy says:

I’m nosy as all get out, YES, I’d watch.

  3. donfried says:

My children are age 32 and 27, so it’s a different question for me.

Would I watch the grandkids? Absolutely. I love ’em and miss ’em.

  4. Joy says:

Don, my boys are grown and I should have said if I could have, I would have.

  5. Jennifer says:

This is going to sound blunt, not matter how I try to phrase it.

I wouldn’t watch….I’d rather not know and I can’t imagine the amount of time that I would spend at work watching this…

I really don’t think parents need to ‘watch’ their kids 24/7…or at least not literally…You can care for your children without knowing what they do every second of the day…How do they ever learn to become independent? I think it’s part of why we have kids that can’t do anything without adult approval and only aids in creating more ‘helicopter parents.’

I totally agree with what you’re saying Jen. Being I worked in the same building as my kids throughout my working, I knew to much as it was. Normal every things that kids did, I found out about. Either by a teacher or it got “tattled” to me by other kids.

But I have such a nosy nature that I wouldn’t be able to help myself.

  7. Sue says:

I would watch a bit, but not b/c I have to know what they are doing every second, but to see how the room runs and how the teacher works with them.

    Just to be clear…

    My kids are 4 – 6 – 19 – 24 & 29.

I would be watching to make sure the people in the position of authority aren’t abusing their position.

Although my wife is a high school teacher I know teachers can get pretty full of themselves…. especially those who should have retired years ago. Some think they can do no wrong and expect the worst from students.

My opinion was formed after over TWO DECADES of government school experience. Ummmm, not counting the years I, myself, was a student.

  9. Just a Mom says:

I would not watch it. I think to some point we have gotten a bit over protective of our kids. Almost to the point where these kids can’t manage on their own.
With that being said I do have online access to my teens grades. I can check them on a daily basis and I can also see when she hasn’t turned something in or if a test is coming up. 🙂
