Yes they are, we don’t want to be those people that have there Christmas tree up intill February or Christmas light’s on your gutters in June. LOL
Oh yea…like the morning after Christmas!!! Although I keep finding random decorations all over the place.
Nope I got a little tiny tree to put some presents under for when the kids come home tomorrow oops I mean so that Santa can put presents under 🙂 Plus I grew up with the tradition – 12 days before and down 12 days after or bad luck… sadly it’s stuck with me hmph
no, but I want them to be ..anybody free for the day and wants to come do it? 🙂
Christmas night!
Yes, my tree and the majority of the decorations come down the 26th. We put it all up the Friday after Thanksgiving so it’s all up plenty long enough. Plus with a birthday on the 27th, I like Christmas to be over by then. Our outside stuff, lights and figures stay up until the end of Jan and I have a few lights inside and snowmen stuff I leave up until then too.l
Yes, you know what a fire hazard those trees are–that knowledge is beat into us from the time we’re quite young. It MUST go down as soon as possible after the 25th! lol
Yep. Took the tree down today, in fact.
No, I am waiting for my daughter to get so sick of them that she will take them down herself. It is a battle of wills and I know I will win. Or she will wait until we move in a month and take them down because she has no choice.
Funny you should ask that. Usually, my (artificial) tree is down on the 1st. This year, I think because of how hard the winter is, I still have it up. I enjoy the lights, and feel like having them a little bit longer this year.
Yes, my tree is down and the Christmas decorations are put away, but all my other winter decorations are still up and will be until April!
Hi Joy! I love Christmas too much to take down my decorations too quickly. I wait until Jan. 7th. It is a family tradition. I love to admire all the lights we have throughout the house. It is so peaceful at night to sit in a room and just relax!
Well, I *thought* I was going to leave my tree up a couple more weeks. But I took one look at it today, and down it came! I like having the space back in the living room.
No way! We just got the outside lights out and working late Dec. 24. Our (fake) Christmas tree stays up all year long. We’ll leave all the Xmas stuff up until at least next weekend (Ukrainian Xmas is January 6 so we run the lights until then), then take down stuff other than the tree as we get around to it. It’s festive, what’s the hurry?
