This is an interesting question. I am the worst when it comes to waking up. Well, once I read that it’s all in the mind and if you tell yourself when you go to bed that “I’m going to wake up at 6:30,” you will, even without an alarm. I tried it, and it actually worked. However, I am not brave enough to stop using the alarm clock. Crutch or not, at least I can detract blame if the alarm doesn’t go off.

I set the alarm just in case but usually the kids wake me up before the alarm goes off.

  3. nikki says:

I’m like SKL, I can tell myself to wake up at a certain time and I do. I still set it though, just in case. I still wake up 10-20 minutes before it goes off and that really irritates me!

  4. Sue says:

I set my alarm. I use to wake up without it, but you get older and get more tired and stay up later it just doesn’t work as well! Of course, on my days off and on the weekend I’m up with no problems!

  5. Joy says:

I’m just like Nikki. I wouldn’t need to set my alarm. I always wake up when I know I have to. It’s always 15 minutes to a half an hour before and then I clock watch. But I set it just in case. It would be my luck if I didn’t, it would be that one time I wouldn’t wake up in time.

  7. Joy says:

Yippeeeeeee Tosha. I’m so glad to see you.

  8. Elena says:

I must be dragged from bed kicking and screaming.

  9. Doraz says:

I ALWAYS set my alarm….just in case. The only problem is, sometimes instead of setting it am…I set it pm! (One of those senior moments) Ha Ha

  10. Laura (LS) says:

I’m usually up at the time I dictate…. “I need to be up before six”… but I, too, set the clock, just in case the cat, the dog or The Boy don’t pile on 20 minutes before the stupid thing has a chance to go off.

  11. Just a Mom says:

I set my alarm but I wake up 15 minutes before it goes off. What’s bad is when you wake up 15 minutes early, look at the clock and then nod back off to sleep! It feels like you never went to bed in the first place!

  12. Amber says:

I can just tell myself to get up at whatever time and I do. No matter what timezone or country Im in. Im weird that way.

  13. SanityFound says:

It depends, normally I tell myself what time I need to get up then close my eyes and see the digits on the clock then like clockwork I wake up same time but sometimes I get lazy and like the process of pressing the snooze button 🙂

    I’m an early riser mind

  14. I use my internal alarm clock……. I wake myself up every single day, exactly when I am supposed to get up….
