  1. Doraz says:

Here goes…Mrs. Wild ,Mrs. Bethel ,Mrs. Guardian ,Mrs. Scott and Mr. Magnon. Each of them did something for me to help my elementary years go by a lot easier. When I started school, I only spoke Italian! I have the utmost respect for teachers!

  2. SKL says:

Let’s see – KG Mrs. Klaus, 1st Miss Chuck, 2nd Mr. Osbourne, 3rd. Miss Lang, 4th Miss Strattman, 5th Mrs. Tomko, 6th Mr. Dressler, 7th Mr. Arnholt. Also Miss Kersten for art & math, Mr. Grewe (the principal) for English when Mrs. Tomko was out having a baby, Miss Schoenleber for gym. Oh, and Vicar John Eckard for 7th grade religion class. And Mrs. Delventhal was the lunch lady.

I remember the name changes of teachers who got married too: Miss Chuck became Mrs. Scheutzau (sp?), Miss Lang – Mrs. Hirsimacki (sp?), Mrs. Tomko used to be Miss Holland, and Mrs. Schoenleber married Mr. Dressler when I was in the 6th or 7th grade.

So now, ask me why I can’t remember a professional contact’s name to save my life?

  3. Laura (LS) says:

  11. Elena says:

Hey, while we’re on the subject, can I tell you of a couple of principals’ names I had? In grammar school it was Mr. Blood, and lemme tell you the rumors flew about what happened to you if you got in trouble. Then in Middle School (in a completely other county) there was Mr. Gross. Weird, huh?

  12. Joy says:

    That’s funny Elena.

  13. nikki says:

That is funny Elena. I have a cousin with the last name Gross. I had a teacher in Jr. high named Mr. Thrillkill!

  14. SKL says:

Ha ha! My first orchestra instructor was Mr. Dannen-brain. (Not sure of the spelling.) As if that weren’t bad enough, he was replaced by Mr. Tweedle! Seriously!

  15. Joy says:

I for the life of me can’t recall my elementary principals name. Jr high was Mr. Reynolds and High school was Mr. Larson.

  16. nikki says:

So funny, I can guarantee you I had many principals and teachers that I never even knew their name. What was the point? I knew there was a good chance my first day would probably be my last. I do remember a 7th grade history teacher, Mr.McMullan, surfer dude! He once called me…The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. If I could apologize to him for my behavior…I would!

  17. SanityFound says:

Sadly I have blocked all of my school years from my memory, my brain during those years was on other things. I do however remember that my grade 6 teacher was Mr Schmidt and he was really upset when my mother married her third husband, up to that point I got good grades then it went all down hill the barsteward!

  18. Elena says:

Nikki – No way, Mr. Thrillkill? That’s the kind of name you might try to use in a story and no one would believe you! Truth is stranger than fiction…
