I cook with real butter, yes. I know it’s not as healthy as margarine but I think the taste is MUCH better.
When I use butter at all, yes. I rarely use it.
Me too. When I want to use it, I do use real. I don’t use it much but when I do, I want the real deal.
Sure do!
Yes!! Actually real butter is probably better for you than margarine. Just think of the stuff they put in it to keep it soft and it last longer. Natural is always better. Just like Coke is better for you than diet Coke because it doesn’t have asparthame in it.
Absolutely. Especially when baking – butter has qualities that make my cookies, especially, taste MUCH better than margarine. Margarine is simply whipped oil. When I want oil, I use oil.
I also keep a container of bacon grease in the fridge for times when I need a REALLY rich flavor! (not in baked goods, of course, but there’s nothing like eggs cooked in bacon!)
Of course – I have never used margarine, nor do I intend to. In fact, I think I heard of a recent study that showed that margarine isn’t really very good for you at all. So yes, real butter all the time. Except when I make chocolate chip cookies. Then it’s butter-flavored shortening. It makes the cookies lighter and fluffier.
I did, but am currently having to cut down on our grocery bill. I love butter… I always tell the kids that toast is just an excuse to have butter. 🙂
Shane, I’m going to have to get my dictionary out. Your using such B-I-G words!!!!!
Yes, it tastes richer.
YES!!!! Nothing beats real butter:)
My thighs just love it though I tend to use nada (I know, weird I am) – baking wise (ok stop the pom poms and the shock horrors no calls to the fire station just yet) I prefer to bake with butter, it tastes way better (do I sound like I know what I’m talking about yet???)
Real butter! It is better for you than Margarine. That stuff is like 90% oil! Yuck!
I prefer butter, but my wallet says Parkay!
