Never – was kind of hoping I would!

  2. Jacqui says:

Not really – sometimes I think there is no point, if they’re in the past leave them there.

  3. Doraz says:

Most of the people from my past that meant anything to me have stayed friends over the years. I would be happy to reconnect with anyone who I had known, if I liked them! If not, I would just ignore the invitation instead of hurting someone’s feelings!

  4. Sue says:

No. Like Doraz said, those from my past that meant anything to me are still my friends. There is one girl (I can’t call myself a lady yet…the term seems to old for me!!!) I went to college with I would LOVE to find, but no such luck yet. Joy, how’s the book??? I would love to borrow it when you’re done reading it!

  5. Just a Mom says:

I have gotten in touch with a lot of my high school friends that I had lost touch with. I will admit that Facebook is great for that.

  6. Joy says:

Yes I have. Not on Facebook or anything but I like that to keep in touch with those I may not have contact with in any other way.

Sue, I just started it yesterday but it’s a very short book and I should be done in a day or two. Sure, you can have it.

  7. Gary says:

I had a friend get in touch with me via the internet. I had a good friend move to Florida after high school and 15 years later he found me using the internet. It was a pleasant suprise!

YES!!! Before my dad left he was the president of a moose lodge and I was always running around there. Their were twin girls who I always played with, we were like 2. I don’t remember any of this. So high school comes and I met these twin girls, I go to their house one day and somehow my last name was mentioned to their parents. They knew my dad, those were the twins I played with when we were little. I lost touch when I was 16 and I did find them on Myspace. Since I don’t have myspace anymore I haven’t talked to them, but I do have ones phone number.

  9. Yes, several people from high school recently on Facebook. My college friends were not a surprise to reconnect with, but the high school friends were a TOTAL surprise. It has been a lot of fun getting to know each other as grown ups…

Isn’t it funny how Facebook goes? Just Sunday I got something from a friend of a friend. I don’t remember her but know right where she lived and the girl we “had in common,” killed herself. So since Sunday I’ve been chatting with her. It’s really kind of neat.

  11. SKL says:

Not really. I did look up an old ex’s phone number on an internet directory, if that counts. Just to get caught up after many years of silence.

  12. oh, the scourge of the internet…

i don’t have a facespace or any variant thereof, but my younger sister does. she kindly included our maiden name (despite my pleas) and someone contacted her in an effort to find ME. torture!

this guy was someone who trailed me like a puppy from grades 6-12 despite my brutal treatment of him (for which i have carried guilt for 20 years).

apparently, he’s newly single with three children and “is looking to reconnect.”

    someone pass the vodka.
