This is somewhat embarrassing. First let me say I collect clocks. I love the old wind up clocks that tick. We have 42 clocks in our home. 17 of them are in my bedroom and most of them tick!!! I know, I’m giving to much information!!! I do love the sound. I’m not sure if I’m hung up on clocks or “time.”

  3. SKL says:

Let’s see – I think only 4 if you don’t count the clocks that are included on various appliances. Three alarm clocks in the bedrooms and one wall clock in the kitchen. (None of them tick!)

  4. holeycheese says:

Three… two wall clocks and one alarm clock..
If you count also cell phone clocks and computer clocks it would be another four.

  5. pammy says:

I have 6,i have one for every room, xcept my bathrooms and porch.I always have to no the time

  6. Morocco says:

2, one in my bedroom and one in my son’s.

  7. Laura (LS) says:

10, not counting appliances/computer/truck (that adds 6), all the watches laying around here (I’m an “accessory addict”, so I have a bunch of watches), or all the paper clocks that I have created and put in various places to help Hot Rod learn to tell time.

  8. Gary says:

    I counted 4. ๐Ÿ™‚

How in the world do you sleep at night Joy???

  9. Joy says:

That’s what everyone asks me Gary but it’s funny, I love it. I wouldn’t be able to stand one ticking but with that many, the sound is soothing to me.

  10. Doraz says:

Ok, Joy. I only have 1 question for you….Are you ever late to anything?-)*
Oh, 1 more……When you are traveling, How many clocks do you bring along?-)*
Oh, 1 more…..Do you go crazy when you are in a “dead silent” environment?-)*

To answer you question…aorry….15! – If you include clock radios…..8 , if you don’t.
And I personally think it is great that you have a passion for clock collecting. Have fun!

  11. Joy says:

Luisa, I can honestly say that I am never late. When I travel I usually take a small room humidifier with me for sound. And 5 or 6 clocks. I could never sleep in dead quiet.

I’m talking any kind of clock so I was counting our appliance clocks. They’re clocks.

  12. Sue says:

7 including the computer. 2 in our bedroom, 4 in the kitchen and one in my daughter’s room.

  13. kweenmama says:

We only have three if you don’t count appliances.

  14. Gary says:

Ok, 7 with appliances then. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Just a Mom says:

    15 counting appliances
I am also the “clock officer” in my house! I can’t stand when the clocks are off by more than a minute from each other, it dirves me nuts.

  16. Joy says:

JAM, I’m just like that too. With all these clocks, they are all within 60 seconds of each other. It drives me insane if they are off. You go in one room and it’s 5 minutes faster/slower than the room you just left, just puts me in a tizzy!!!!

  17. mssc54 says:

    Microwave, stove, clock-radio and computer.

Joy, sounds like you are lost in time! ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Doraz says:

OK…recount….. 25 with everything that counts!

  19. nikki says:

Joy, 42? That actually surprises me. I would have guessed much higher. I remember watching you go through the house winding each one up!!!!
I have zero wind up clocks and one digital alarm clock in our bedroom. Other than that we have a few cell phones lying around and the microwave of course. Oh and the computer! I don’t have any that aren’t digital.

  20. Joy says:

I used to have a lot more Nikki but they’ve quit working and I haven’t “antiqued” lately to replace them.

  21. SKL says:

OK, so we have the following additional clocks:

    Stove: 1
    TV: 1
Stereo: 1 that works, 1 that just blinks idiotically
    Computers: 5 or 6
    Cell phones: 3
Watches: who knows – I can’t keep track of everyone’s watches. I have a couple that I never wear.

I’m really not a clock watcher, but you can’t escape them it seems.

  22. niclake13 says:

    Counting appliances… 37.

    But I collect clocks. ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. nikki says:

Hi Nic..thanks for stopping. I liked your blog! My mother in law Joy, a co-writer here is also a clock collector!
