I’ve never really paid attention, but I would say probably the right shoe as I am right handed and it just feels natural to do so.

  2. Sue says:

I think I usually put my left shoe on first and I’m right handed, but I haven’t paid that much attention! I can see everyone today looking down at their shoes in wonder as they put them on!

  3. Joy says:

I’m also right handed but always put on my left shoe first.

  4. paul says:

Hey…I am right handed and I put the left one on first.

  5. starlaschat says:

Ditto. I think right handed well I know I’m right handed but sitting here in socks. I’ll have to get back to you on that, but I thinks it’s left foot first.

  6. Gary says:

I’m right handed and usually put my right shoe on first.

    No. Sometimes I wear boots.

Who wear shoes? I live like the Flinestones! *(*

OK…serious…right first and I am also right handed.

  9. nikki says:

I don’t know, I never really payed much attention. I’m right handed but I can almost see myself putting my left one on first. I’ll try to pay attention next time! But then if I’m thinking about it then I may not do it naturally as normal. Hmmm

  10. SKL says:

I had to think about this one. I always used to put on the right shoe first. Now I have zipper shoes and I put on the left one first. I use my right hand first either way.

  11. Just a Mom says:

I am slightly OCD when it comes to this! Left sock, right sock, left shoe, right shoe. I remember the All in the Family episode where Archie Bunker and Meathead were having an argument over this very thing!

  12. Tessa says:
