  1. SKL says:

No, I have to be in a certain position (lying flat) or I will have a stiff neck for three days. If I try lying that way anyplace where my kids go, they jump on me and that’s the end of that.

  2. Sue says:

apparently I can! I learned that on the way back from vacation. I’m pretty sure I fell asleep on Toby’s shoulder waiting for the plane and I did manage to sleep on the plane. I’ve also fallen asleep in the lounge at work before! Yeah, just what you want your coworkers to see! Your mouth hanging open and drool on the side of your cheek!

  3. holeycheese says:

I can sleep as long as I’m in a bed or on a couch, and only people I’m comfortable with around.. But I wouldn’t fall asleep on plane, train, bus etc.. no matter how many hours, no matter how much I try.

  4. Morocco says:

No way! I have to be in the right “zone” which is usually my own home. Sleeping in a public setting is scary.

  5. starlaschat says:

I wish I could, but I just can’t. It would be nice to take little cat naps oh well.

  6. Gary says:

If I am EXHAUSTED, I can fall asleep in most settings but otherwise no. If I’m just tired, I need to be at home or in a hotel.

  7. Joy says:

I can’t either. I have to be laying down. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen asleep sitting up.

  8. nikki says:

I have to be laying down. Preferably in a bed. I can do the couch if I’m really tired. I’m addicted to my electric blanket though so I sleep best under that…even in the summer. I like to be warm when I sleep.

  9. Doraz says:

If I am REALLY tired, I doze off anywhere!
If I am at home, I have to “calm” down…then I get in my comfy spot…and start snoring, at least that is what I am told!! BLAH!!!!

  10. megan says:

I can barely sleep period, no matter where I am – even in my own bed. I am insanely jealous of my finace, who falls asleep within two minutes of touching head to pillow.

  11. Doraz says:

Megan, have you tried staying awake , instead? It works for me. I get so tired, I just doze off!!!

  12. Just a Mom says:

I can sleep anywhere. I actually fell asleep sitting in the bleachers at an Formula One practice at Indy! And there was no alcohol involved!

I can also sleep with my eyes open which really helped me in school!
