A $200 suit because I liked the blouse. I wore it exactly once. If you know me, you know how strange this purchase was. Normally I don’t spend $200 a year, total, on clothes, shoes, accessories, and toiletries.

I spent my first paycheck buying all of The Monkees records. My mom laughed her butt off at me and then proceeded to bring out her original Monkees albums!

I almost bought a Bikini Yesterday, half way down the isle I stopped I looked at it, pretty, pink and orange with bows and then I noticed how small it was and stopped in my tracks swiveled around came to my senses and hung it back up. That would have been one of the dumbest purchase Ive made in a while. The husband was no help saying Ya do it buy it buy it.

I could write a novel about all the stupid stuff I’ve boughten over the years! Lately, I bought an “as seen on TV” laptop holder thing that was supposed to “raise” it up so it was easier to see. The stupid thing was $30 and was a total piece of crap. I never used it. It’s just a piece of plastic and had a little rubber band type thing to hold the laptop on it.

One of the funniest things is when Paul and I were first married, my uncle sent me money to buy a piece of Waterford crystal. So Paul’s brother Kevin was going to the jeweler and I didn’t drive yet so I went with him and I wanted candle sticks. Kevin and I knew nothing about this stuff and first of all, they were sold as ONE. Not two like you’d think and they didn’t look exactly alike but I knew they were all hand made and didn’t look all alike. I buy them and take them home and when I put a candle in them they fell over. Come to find out later when my MIL saw them, they were bud vases!!! People still laugh at Kevin and I and I still have them in my China closet and I STILL think of that day whenever I use them

This was about 7 years ago, I saw some pretty metal hooks on QVC, like 8 of them for $20. It was almost Christmas time and I thought our stockings would look good hanging from them. They had suction cups and in the commercial they were holding very heavy things. So I bought them, and they sucked! First of all they were PLASTIC!! Secondly they didn’t even hold an EMPTY stocking!!! They had to have been plastered to that wall in the commercial, man I was mad!
I can’t say I have ever spent a good amount of money on something we regretted.

The dumbest thing, huh? OH! I know! I bought a sticker maker from WalMart for scrapbooking not too long ago. Stupid thing didn’t work worth a shit! I had every intention of taking it back, but then Christopher found it and pulled all the sticky paper out of it….it ended up in the trash!

  8. Doraz says:

Shoes that were not really comfortable, but SOOO cute…so, I bought them anyway!

I spent $400.00 on a pair of Italian aligator skin shoes back in my “party” days. DUMB but I looked really cool in them. 😀

Oh, we need to see a picture of that Gary!
