I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston
I cry every time I hear the song about the red shoes.I dont no what the song is titled,I have a bad memory. But they made a movie about it,were the little boys momma is dying on christmas eve.He wants her gift to be these red shoes,so she will look good when she gets to heaven. When the song first came out,I would bawl everytime. Then the movie came. Its sad. They play the song more towards the end of the movie.Tears flow in that movie for me,but as soon as they sing that song,I cry so hard,I cant even see.Its a real tear jerker for me.It has personnel memories for me,and takes me back to a very sad point in my life.
“Brick” by Ben Folds Five
Otis Redding …..
Sitting On the Dock of the Bay……
It reminds me of what I am NOT doing, but should be!!!!
TAPS!
I agree mssc! I played trumpet in high school and I was the one who played Taps on Memorial Day for our local Legion club. I got to know those “old” guys over the years and when I started playing at their funerals it made me sad. The worst was when my grandpa died and my grandma decided she didn’t want it at all. That following Memorial Day I felt like I got to play for him.
“Cats in the Cradle” by Harry Chapin
that song makes me very sad!
There are certain country songs that I still can’t listen to because my ex-husband used them to woo some of his sl**s. I guess they make me mad more than sad.
I can’t remember the name of it I’ll have to get back to you on this one. I’m so bad at song names.
I Loved her First (about a dad giving away the bride). It reminds me of my daughters’ birth mothers and foster parents. Oh crap, I’m tearing up now.
I love that song too SKL. It makes me cry when I think of Trinity’s wedding.
For gosh sakes Joy that’s forever away!
Rod Stewart ~ “Forever Young” My mom loved this song, she always said this was her song to me.
Taps.
“Have You Forgotten?” by Darryl Worley. Because, I fear, we have.
I like how the page use to look better! Why’d it change?
What do you mean Tessa? How does it look different?
“I hope you Dance” by Leann Womack “When you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance….” cry every time.
Played at my aunt Kathy’s funeral as one of her favorites. Sad, sad day. She was a beautiful, loving lady.
most country songs make me sad..which makes me wonder why anybody even listens to them. I listen to music that makes me happy even if it’s pissed off music..you know screamo rage music….but country is for the most part just damn sad.
