If I only “bumped” it and didn’t do any damage, no I wouldn’t but if I did “anything” to someone else’s car, absolutely I would. I only “bumped” someone once in a parking lot years ago and went searching for the person in all the shops till I found her. I would have to guilty of a conscience to not leave a note.

I once read where someone did this, realized they been seen and so he got a piece of paper and wrote ” Sorry, Dude. I dinged your fender. I am writing this so they the person watching thinks I am leaving my insurance info and phone number.
    Not a chance, buddy.”

Now I would do the right thing…. I think.

Yes, I would and have. It sure is a pain in the butt, but not fair to dump it on the other person.

If I did any damage i would.. if not.. probably not. I have bumped someones car and then waited on them to come out. Luckily it didnt take long and the lady agreed no damage was done and on my way i went..

If there was no damage there would be no need to do anything… except be more careful the next time.

If there was some minor damage I would wait for a bit. If I need to leave I would leave my contact info and describe the damage so the other guy can’t add stuff on later. Also I would use my Blackberry to document the extent of the damage.

I would say that if I just bumped a car, and there was not any real damage…I would not worry. If I messed it up, and I would not have liked what I did to my car,…I would leave information. In my opinion, it is the right thing to do in this type of situation. Have a great weekend~~~:)

Yes if it did damage. I would leave a not with my info. Ive heard of people going up to the car and writing a note saying “people think I’m leaving my name and number but I’m not.” And then put the not under the windshield. Not good.

  8. Sue says:

If it did damage I would, but if no damage was done why leave info?

  9. birdpress says:

That happened to me just recently, but I was the one whose car was hit. I wouldn’t do that to someone else.
