Bush ObamaIF

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVD’s, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to Cinco de Cuatro in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the fourth of May (Cuatro de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word advice, would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush’s administration had okay-ed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry, he’s done all this in 5 months~so you’ll have three years and seven months to come up with an answer. No common sense, naive incompetence, uniformed voters did this to themselves. Insanity is wide spread. Real Americans are waking up.

Holy hell! I never voted for him and I pray to God that American’s do wake up and smell the coffee! Jeez! This whole post makes me nauseated. Sadly, even if they “wake up”- – like you say, he’s still in office for another 3+ years. So ‘effn sad to me I cannot even tell you. I know this was a huge part of my recent plunge into depression. Such a feeling of despair. If anyone disagrees with me, knock your socks off- it’s JUST MY personal FEELINGS! You’ve got yours, and I’ve got mine. That’s the beauty of it.

I thought you were right and didn’t want to give her the attention. Jason was kind of irritated though. He’d been thinking of what he was going to say all night. He may write one of his own.

      • Sue says:

He should write one of his own, but you didn’t have to take it down! I’m sure everyone has been wondering what happened. Hope golf went well and you didn’t freeze your arses off!!

We will see monday if she still decides to frequent this blog.
Words and friendships cut short don’t bother me. My list grows every day of people who want to hang out more. On the other side her friendlist dwindles. Between Facebook and this blog, I have seen over 100 responses. In all those responses (and we thank you all) Candi you had one friend stand behind you. Such a good friend of yours Nicole had never heard of her. To cut it short Candi, every time you come here I love it. My mom loves it. It just further proves the point of you have no where else to go. With this, I invited to be my friend on facebook. This is rare… I have made it a rule to never invite anyone. Yes Candi it’s true, you would be my first. Theres nothing more important in this world, outside of my family and friends to me, than to know you still want to see how our lives are going. I have so many things to share with jared and everyone. Jared reads all these right. So nothing should ever suprise him then right. I would hate to cause a problem for the two of you. I know your trying to adopt kids right now and unlike you I don’t want to hurt people not involved.

Thinking….thinking…thinking….NOPE I got nothing! I can’t think of one thing to be impressed about!
I do love seeing George Bush’s face though, he brings me comfort and I miss that!

OK folks, I have to put a positive spin on this because I’m not ready to move out of this country yet!

    1) Obama has shown very clearly who he really is, at least to everyone who isn’t too dumb or drunk to see it. A lot of the votes he got were from people who couldn’t believe the “accusations” that he was . . . who he is. Now his popularity is going downhill and unless something very surprising happens in the next 3 years, he won’t be reelected.

    2) Obama has shown the danger of having a Congress that fails to perform its important role as a CHECK on the President. The USA was brilliantly organized so that the things that are happening today shouldn’t be allowed to happen. The only reason they are happening is that elected representatives in Congress are not representing their constituents. Whether they are afraid of Obama and his team, or whether they really agree with him, I don’t care. The voters know that the way to remedy this is to vote out all the Congressmen who are acting as rubber stamps for Obama instead of doing their own jobs.

    3) In 2008, people were lulled into idealism because the country was too prosperous. In 2010, that won’t be a problem.

    4) 2010 elections are just 16 months away. They can turn the tide.
