I sure do. Year round. I love they way they smell and I think it’s better for your clothes. I think they last longer and hold color longer. I hang almost all my clothes to dry. The only real articles of clothing of mine I put in the dryer are my socks.
Rarely. I think it is a great idea for the clothes and all that, but my yard is just a small patch of mostly woods and hill, and the thing I like best about it is that it makes me feel close to nature. The only place I could hang clothes would be right across the patio, blocking the view of the trees. Might as well live in an urban high-rise if that’s all the view I’m going to have.
Sometmes I will lay out wet clothes/cloths to dry on some plastic chairs on the patio. But it’s not a regular thing.
I love the fresh outdoor smell on my bed sheets and blankets,mmmm. 🙂
Michelle does most of the washing. It usually goes outside on the clothesline. if it’s been raining lots she dries the essentials on a clothes airer in front of the fire. We had a clothes dryer but sold it because we rarely used it
Just the towels from the pool.
I would love to, but living on the corner of two dirt roads prevents me… they’d come in dirtier than when they went into the washer!
I have never hung clothes outside. Living in the burbs we don’t really have that option. It’s against homeowners rules.
Well I hope to soon. We moved into an Association that has rules. One of those rules is no clothes lines. No one else is following that rule so I want one! I will have one, I LOVE the smell of clothes that have been dried by fresh air. Especially the sheets. The only thing I wouldn’t is the towels, I like them soft. But maybe I could dry them outside then fluff them in the drier.
Joy even dries outside in the winter!!!! Not too sure I’ll do that! LOL
Appeal to the “green” side of your Homeowner Association. Tell them that you’re doing it to save energy and money, and it’s good for the environment. THEN, when they argue, hit them with, “What? You don’t want to SAVE THE EARTH??? What kind of a communist monster are you???”

Yes, I do. Sheets, jeans, some shirts and sometimes towel, but those get a little crunchy! The pool towels don’t get like that and I can’t figure out why!
Oh I want to have a clothesline.We have a big yard but there is only one spot I think it belongs(Im just to dang fuzzy with how thing look)and my neighbours have a bird house so close to it so I am sure theres no point to putting it there.I wouldnt hang towels either..to rough!Bed sheets and blankets belong on the line..fresh smell!
When I was growing up, my mom always hung up the clothes, and then had us do it when we were older. I only hang up jackets, blankets, and some delicate clothes. I prefer to hang them in the laundry room.
THIS IS THE NORM HERE AND THE PREFERRED WAY.. HOT WEATHER ENSURES THAT THE CLOTHES BECOME DRY QUICKLY.
Nope….might sound crazy but I have always been worried that some bird would poop on them.

We don’t but my grandfather used to hang his sheets outside to dry in the warmer months. I used to love the smell of sheets dried outside!!! 🙂
Can you believe that my sheets have never been in the dryer. Drying them in the winter beats all. They smell really, really good then. They freeze dry and I have to bring them in and let them thaw out and man, they smell divine.
I dont’ ..no clothes line and we are so infested with ticks out here I don’t want to give them a chance to get on clothes.
I do miss that part of living in town ..I had a clothes like and always hung the bedding and toweling outside 😦
I use a clothes drying rack. That way I can use it year round inside or outside. In the sun or in the shade depending on what I’m drying. I think air drying our clothes is one of the most simple economical and environmental actions we can take.
