playing all day with very little responsibilities .. oh how I would love to return to those days.
That feeling that I can spend the day doing just about anything I want (in the summertime). If it sounds fun, do it; if it’s no fun, walk away. I guess that’s because as kids we really didn’t make commitments. We just took life as it came.
Just hanging out.
The chance to run around naked and free without consequence or strange looks.
can I just say everything? And can somebody send me back?
Being able to sit in my Grandma’s lap. Not sure I could do that now. 😦
I miss summertimes. So carefree and no worries. Most of all.I miss my parents and grandparents.I would love to go back in time for one day and see them all 🙂
Watching my mom cook in the kitchen. We had the best conversations in the kitchen!
I agree with Pam. I miss summers and I really miss spending time with our grandparents and being so free from responsibilities. Laying in the grass looking at clouds and imagining what shapes they look like. Stuff like that.
AWWW!!! I love to look at the clouds too.I still do.I try to get my grandkids to look and see.I think I have to wait till they are a little older.Cause they do look up and laugh,at what I am not sure.Cant wait till they are older and we can find things in the shapes of the clouds. 🙂
Summer vacation for sure. But also my imagination. I used to be able to entertain myself for hours on end. I’m not so good at it anymore.
Having the free time to do whatever we wanted to do that day! Riding horses for hours on end with my cousins was so much fun. We’d be gone for what seemed like hours and, as long as we came home, it was all good!
Playing in the neighborhood until the street lights came on. We played “cops and robbers” – “kick the can” – “ghost in the graveyard” and more.
I miss playing outside with the neighborhood kids – especially building forts in the woods and jumping ramps on my bike.
