I always wanted to be either a teacher or a lawyer. I hated school though so was neither.

    Anything but a kid!

Actually, the only things that really called out to me were teacher (mostly) and nurse. I know that nowadays everyone will say that was because of “gender stereotypes,” but I still like teaching children better than anything else. Notwithstanding my two graduate degrees and two professional licenses in fields far removed from education.

I definitely never thought I would end up in the tax field!

  3. Just a Mom says:

I wanted to be a pediatrician or a math teacher. I became a mom instead pretty close in my opinion!

I always wnated to be a teacher as a cjild. Then in my 20s I wanted to be a councellor.I felt so bad for battered woman.I even did a two week volunteering at a womans shelter.I liked it.But the woman in charge said I got to involved, that it would drag me down. She told me not to continue in that field.I was dissappointed, but I never did go into that field.I still think about it.Maybe back then I wasnt ready,I feel I am now.But I am getting too old.Oh well.Thats life

A lawyer, I was told by my 6th grade teacher I’d be great at it b/c I loved to argue. When I was about 16 I wanted to be a model but knew I didn’t have the confidence to do that. I should have put more effort into it but then again where would I be right now?? The job I have had for the last 9 years is the best ever!

When I was a little kid, it was a teacher. As I got older, I wanted to be a neurologist and then a neurosurgeon. Why, I have no idea, but reality hit and that went out the door!!! That’s ok though b/c I love my job and maybe someday I’ll go back for something else.

Just found this blog…very cute! I wanted to be a bartender. (my mother was one–that may have been one of the reasons she went back to school…could you imagine having your daughter tell you that?)

Anyway, I ended up a math teacher…turned online math tutor so I can stay home with my two boys.

Love the blog! Adding you to my google reader. 😀
