    always a pen.

I really like both. I love these mechanical pencils I have. I can’t find them anywhere anymore so I just keep adding led. I use a pen for most things but do use pencil to leave myself notes and write down post idea’s with.

  3. SKL says:

I like pencils but I use pens. Pencils seem more creative somehow, and more forgiving of mistakes. But pens – I can read what I wrote in ink. I tend to write hard and dark.

I hate, hate, hate mechanical pencils. They ALWAYS break on me. I like the old-fashioned wooden ones. Maybe because they remind me of the days when I used to sketch. I loved sketching but haven’t done it in decades.

    pen.. i hate pencils

  5. Laura says:

    Both, depending on the situation.

For things that I have to work out – puzzles, math stuff, helping with Josh’s homework – it’s a pencil. But mostly it has to either be a very sharp one, or my mechanical pencil that MUST be filled with .5 (medium) lead.

Journaling, leaving notes, writing letters, etc., it’s a pen. But then it has to be a medium point, and preferably not black. Black ink makes me write weird. Yeah, I know. It’s a quirk.

  6. Sue says:

Sharp pencils and blue pens! I hate black pens b/c I can’t seem to find one that writes nice like a blue pen does!

  7. nikki says:

PENS…just like I don’t like the feel of paper I don’t like the sound a pencil on paper makes. I know ‘m weird!

  8. pammy wammy says:

A nice flowing pen for me 🙂

  9. Pencil. It’s hard to write with a pen for me!

  10. joz1234 says:

pen–even when doing math problems. Erasing takes up much more time. Apparently it is a proven statistic (somewhere) that if you erase what you wrote on a math problem and then rework the problem, there is a high chance that you will make the same mistake. I had a college prof that told us to always write in pen, and when we made a mistake only draw one line through it so we wouldn’t make that same mistake again.

    must have worked. 😀

If I use a pencil it has to be cripy sharp. Mostly a pen.

  12. Just a Mom says:

Super, Super sharp pencil or black pen
