I think i like carnations best (this is Vicki posting from Seans computer)
I’m not really into flowers. But if I had to receive one, I’d like it to be a potted plant rather than a cut flower. I’d like a flower that both looks and smells delicate.
When I send flowers, I leave most details up to the florist, but I specify not to include any strong-smelling flowers. I received a pretty boquet as a housewarming gift once, but it stunk so bad that I had to put it outside. I wouldn’t want to do that to anyone.
Heh, this makes me remember about receiving “romantic” flowers. I only ever received flowers like that once, from a guy whom I’d spent only a little time with (and it never did go anywhere). Got me all excited because no other guy had ever done anything so sentimental! I think I also got “sorry” flowers once from another guy. Other times I received flowers and had to wonder whom they were from. They were always from my sister, which is really nice but kind of a bummer too!
ROSES ❤ ROSES ❤ ROSES ❤
lilies… they smell simply amazing 🙂
Roses, they are so beautiful
FREE ONES!! 🙂
I love lilies and if at all possible, that’s what I get. If I ever do get an arrangement and they have any eucalyptus in them, I take that right out. That smell is enough to put me over the bend. I love to get flowers delivered more than anyone could know.
I never get flowers sent to me (part of that is because Indy was VERY partial to anything that grew… closest thing I ever saw to a “vegetarian cat”, and many flowers, particularly alstroemeria, can be extremely toxic to cats), but if I did…
I totally love Gerbera Daisies. They’re such substantial and sunny, happy flowers. And their colors are so bright and beautiful – they fit into any season’s arrangement. I also love yellow roses. Forget telling me you love me with red… if you *really* want my heart, send me yellow roses and gerbera’s!
To send…. I tend to tailor flowers to the receiver. I’ll specify colors or types if I know the recipient has a preference. Otherwise, I just look for something really fun and bright, even during sorrowful times, because how can you not smile when you’re looking at a bouquet of flowers?
I’m not a flower person.. Well.. let me rephrase that.. I’m not one who likes to receive flowers.. It’s not really “me”.. A nice card that someone took the time to actually find one that fit me perfectly means way more to me than flowers ever could.. Nehow..
That said.. I do like to give flowers. I find it refreshing when I surprise someone with flowers. Because really they don’t expect that sort of thing out of me.
I can’t say what kind I like to give b/c It varies. My mom I gave roses to just b/c.. My sister I brought her some kind of wild flower that the colors just “looked like her’ My grandmother it was daisies..
Carnations are special to me b/c it was my dads favorite flower and he always gave those to my mom. Yellow roses are my all time favorite…I think they are the best smelling and they just say “happy” to me. When I buy flowers for someone else I normally go for something bright with no specific type.
I love to give my friends a couple big gerber daisies. You only have to give a couple and they make such a nice yet simple statement..so bright and pretty.
To recieve I love Lillies the best, then roses and even just an arry of cut flowers.I am blessed with a hubby who gives me flowers often..I would have fresh ones in the house all the time if I could!
I don’t care about receiving flowers but the flower I best like to give are roses.
Anything! Anything that is pretty and smells good 🙂 I don’t really have a favorite.
Don’t like flowers…don’t give flowers…
I’d much rather give a plant that will last more than a week.
I’d much rather receive clothes or a gift card or a new cd, or something else. Flowers die…cost too much…waste of money.
