My Little Dreams

bucket listI know everyone has a list of things they want to do before their time comes. A bucket list if you will. I think someone even wrote about this already but frankly I’m just too lazy to go back and look! I know a lot of people who have…in my opinion unrealistic goals. Now I would love to visit the Eiffel Tower and spend a month in Italy and deep sea dive, however, I know these things will most likely never happen. For one…unless I win the lottery or something, I’ll never be able to afford these things and I’m so claustrophobic and afraid of open water I’ll never deep sea dive. Oh how I wish I could though…I bet it’s amazing!

No my bucket list is somewhat tangible. I would love to visit New York and see a real Broadway play. I don’t even care which one…just not Cats! They still freak me out! For right now I’ll settle for Cinderella live at the Children’s Theatre in Minneapolis. Which I am over the moon excited for!

I would also like to watch a baseball game in every MLB stadium…even the stinky teams!!! This is what I want to do when Jason retires….take an RV and go!

Something else I would like to do is very possible…. I just have to muster up enough confidence to just do it. I’d love to learn how to hip hop dance. Like in a group all synchronized. Jason and I watch America’s Next Best Dance Crew on MTV and they absolutely amaze me! I need to find another girl who will go with me!!! Any takers???

I’d also like to be a race car driver for a day. I like to go fast…really fast. But I can’t for obvious reasons! Wouldn’t mind meeting Dale Earnhardt Jr either!! To go that fast and not get in trouble….who wouldn’t!?!?

So those are some of the things I dream of doing someday. What are some of yours?

Nikki, except for the Eifel Tower I’ve done your bucket list. 🙂

For me I think a wild bear hunt or a guided white tail deer hunt.

I thought this was a great post. I saw it last night and have been trying to think of what my “bucket list” would be. (But I don’t like to think of it as a bucket list!) When I decide what I want to be when I grow up, I’ll go back to school. I want to build our dream house and I want to take the kids to Disney World. I’ve always wanted to go and we never did as kids, so to bring my kids there to meet Mickey and the gang would be so much fun I think. And secretly, I’ve always wanted to start my own clothing line for us tall girls! Do you know how much I have to pay for a pair of pants that fits right?! It’s crazy!

I would also love to see a Broadway play on Broadway. Wouldn’t that be fun? I also LOVE your idea about seeing all the baseball stadiums. How cool would that be??

I don’t really have a “bucket list” either but I’d just want to have fun. I wouldn’t want to do any crazy stuff. Just normal fun things with you guys. I would just love to travel in our own country in a NICE two bedroom camper as long as I could have my laptop. It’s so fun to see people from all over and see our differences and more, how much we are alike.

Who knows maybe one day the 3 of us girls will go to NY and see a real Broadway play!! I agree the things I want to do is with family….wouldn’t be as fun otherwise!
The baseball stadiums…it wouldn’t be complete without visiting Cooperstown NY…and seeing the Baseball Hall of Fame museum!!! Too bad we’d have to sit through a Yankees game!! jk

I don’t have a bucket list but it is something I have thought about doing and just never get around to it. I suppose I should before it’s too late.

I love your baseball stadium idea! That would be a lot of fun. I would really have to put some thought into a bucket list but off the top of my head…….

    1. Be the leading man in a porn movie.

Great post! I think our lists change as we get older. I know mine has!
    1. See my girls marry and be happy.
    2. Have grandkids and be apart of their lives. ~ My only grandparents lived too far away to really have a relationship with.
    3. Own a mustang convertable.
    4. Ban porn before Gary becomes a porn star! 🙂

Sorry it took me so long to get here today…. dang, I missed a good conversation!

    Let’s see…

    1. Visit Ireland.

    2. Have a cabin in the northwoods

    3. own a horse and compete in shows (even local ones, they’re just fun)

    4. Take Josh to DisneyWorld and to the ocean and to the Grand Canyon… pretty much take Josh to see the U.S.A.

    5. Marry Richard Armitage. (we can have ONE unrealistic, unachievable goal, can’t we???)

    6. Never watch porn, ever, ever again…. just in case.

  9. Sue says:

I would like to add to my list! Storm chasing. With professionals of course, but after watching the season premiere of Storm Chasers, I really want to do that. Maybe it will help me get over the scared to death fear of them.

    Hmm, wishes . . . .

I think my biggest wish ever has already been granted, and that’s having my kids. Once upon a time, that seemed like a really remote possibility.

Some kinda silly dreams I’ve had (that always seemed remotely possible when I was younger) were things like playing in a professional orchestra, being able to compete in ice figure-skating and gymnastics, etc.

For the future, I don’t really have a specific major dream – but lots of minor dreams – like traveling to interesting places with my kids, reading important literature in the original languages (which I haven’t learned yet), stuff like that.

It would be nice to meet a decent, fun guy to create new dreams with, but that seems the most remote of all . . . .
