How big does a dog have to be before it’s classified as a “dog”, and not a cat with a glandular problem?

If it can sit in my lap, it’s a cat in a dog’s costume. Sorry Shane!! LOL!!!
I agree with Shane… the only exceptions are puppies… that WILL one day be too large for laps π
Lucy, Shane is my nephew who has a little yapping ankle bitter and we tease him. LOL! All in good humor of course.
Joy, I meant to write “I agree with Joy” … I guess I’m more tired than I thought I was. My mind must have seen the name “Shane” and wrote that instead. I have to start proof reading my comments before posting them!!
I love dogs, but the little yapping ankle bitters tend to be obnoxious. π
Alls okay Lucy. I have more brain farts than most. Obnoxious is right π
no more than me!
Yup, I’m with Joy, sorry Shane!!
Unlike my husband, I’ve met some really tiny dogs that were very cool. One of them was a Maltese who, at full-grown, could fit on the palm of my hand. But she had personality to spare, and an owner who used his spare time to train her to do cool things.
Pugs, too, just crack me up.
That said…. I’d probably squish that sweet little Maltese if I played with her like I play with Cruiser (Golden Retriever). Heck, I’d probably squish her if I played with her like I used to play with my CAT!!!
I have to agree with Joy as well! I would say around the 30lb. weight. π
I totally agree with Joy! If it can sit in my lap it’s not really a dog!
We have a 9 month old 80 lb bulldog “puppy” who sits errr lays acrosss Seans lap all the time and sleeps..He’s alllllllllll dog. π
I meant to answer this a long time ago and kept getting side tracked! I have to agree with Joy too!! Although I would love to have a little dog!! A Teacup Maltese to be exact!
