Nope, I really can’t because I have athleticly induced asthma! I get a lot of exercise at work though.
There’s meds for that Shane so it’s not an excuse!!!
If 40 minutes daily walk with stroller to pick up the kids at kindergarten counts.. then yes.. If not then no.
I’m sporadic about it. For a while I was really into it, then my gym membership ended (and life got in the way) and I stopped.
But I really have no excuse, since I have a treadmill in my basement, so I’ve started up again. 30-40 min good walk every day.
Nope! I used to at least do a little yoga every day. I need to get back to that.
I clean the house on a regular basis..does that count? I want to join the Y but can’t afford to …and out here it’s no good walking once bad weather hits. I just have to diet and exercise as much as I can while cleaning and wait till spring for power walks 😦
I’m starting to now. I’m just walking and hope to soon add a little jogging and then maybe some weights. I have to build my strength and NOT leave the oxygen tank at home next time I go to open gym!!
I started last week then wouldn’t ya know…I got sick! So know I have to dig and find that ambition again! I am active everyday. Yesterday I even thought to myself, I feel a little lighter today…so I got ont he scale and nope I gained a pound! That is disheartening and I’m trying not to get depressed about it.
I exercise regularly. I put in about 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I ride bike 30 minutes a day, do between 50-100 stomach crunches and I have added a few weights for upper arm strength.
I feel healthy but I still need to lose about 25 pounds to get to my goal.
While I don’t regularly exercise (in the traditional sense) I am very active in my work. And that is NOT just a cop-out either. Today before 11 a.m. I had rolled 400′ of hoses off my work van and back on, cleaned the carpets in a 2500 sf house (with stairs) and lifted an 80 lb piece of equipment off and back onto the van. Cleaning carpets 3-5 days a week is very, very physical. Matter of fact I can’t believe that my right arm does not look like Popeye’s arm! I feel sorta cheeted.
I am 55 years old, 5’9″ and weigh 162 lbs. I weighed 145 in 1972 when I went into the US Navy.
I would love to jog again but my surgeon has advised me to find something that would cause less trauma to my right ankle since I shattered it and broke both the bones in that leg in 1976. Perhaps one day I will start biking regularly again.
Yes I do and I’m proud to say it!!!! I HATE when people say, “You don’t need to work out, look at you?!” Ah, HELLO!!!! Why do you think I look this way??? It’s not because I sit on my ass and eat shit all day!
I know what you mean! If I ate what some people think I should eat every day, I’d be rolling down the street!
3 days a week I burn anywhere from 400-800 calories on a Cybex arctrainer (love that machine). It’s wonderful because it is nice on the joints and I can do 400 cal in 30 minutes (it’s all relative, but I like that number on there). 🙂
