Question of the day

Would you rather have a scandal named after you (like Monica-gate) or a disease named after you (like Lou Gehrig’s disease)?

I think I’d say a disease. Who would want to be remembered for MonicaGate??

  2. Lucy says:

    Yeah, I think I agree with Joy….

  3. Mabs says:

omg, good question. TOUGH one! I guess I’d rather be named after a scandal (*preferably nipple gate) than a disease because I’d rather have a bad reputation than a deadly disease. Also, Joy, please tell your hubs I am soooo sorry I’ve been calling him JOHN. Where did I get that from. It just got into my head and stuck there- he could have said “MY NAME IS PAUL” and I probably would have still been determined to call him John, cuz I’m retarded that way. My deepest apologies! Love ya!

  4. Sue says:

I would say disease b/c at least people would try and cure you rather than hate you!

  5. Laura says:

Scandal. In scandal, you can go away and change your ways, and come back better. Make amends, whatever.

If you’re a disease, you’re either pitied (as Lou Gherig is, because he ultimately died from it) or hated (because you kill people).

  6. SKL says:

It depends on the scandal, LOL!

  7. Gary says:

I gotta go with scandal. 15 minutes of fame would be better than forever and I could get back to my normal life again. Who knows, maybe if the scandal was big enough I could sell the rights of the story to a movie producer or something and make some extra holiday cash? 😀

  8. javajunkee says:

yeah once again I’m with Gary…I want the scandal! People will eventually forget about it..where as the disease could eventually kill people.

  9. Just a Mom says:

I would have to go with a disease. What can I say, I can work with pity better than I can embarrasment!

  10. nikki says:

I’d go with scandal…I don’t want some nasty disease and I don’t want to die. Scandals are bad but it’d be easier to get your life back on track. Neither are very good though! Great question!

  11. Laura (LS) says:

I think I also choose the scandal because, honestly, most of them revolve around sex. And sex is WAY more fun that some manky disease.
