Usually I just like cheese and bacon. Once in a while I like to add tomato and lettuce but I hate when they get super messy to eat. I also put ketchup on them and do like fried onions sometimes.

  2. Ellen says:

Just back from a wonderful dinner with my husband, I am not so in the mood for hamburgers, but if I make them I love them with some lettuce, bread and butter pickles, onions, melted cheese, light mayonnaise and barbecue sauce. The bread/rolls have to be buttered. This is really good!

  3. Nikki says:

In my tummy! 😉 Okay really…I’m not a high priced hamburger slut or anything. I like my best plain with fried onions. Nothing more…no condiments what so ever.
Lettuce and tomatoes sometimes but I really like just the burger with seasoning of course.

  4. Well. Medium-well? Not pink. We get those pre-made, frozen patties, 85% fat-free. Is that lazy of me?

  5. SKL says:

I actually like McDonald’s cheeseburgers best. Could use a little less ketchup and pickles. I am sure many will cringe reading this, but I really don’t like big mouthfuls of meat. At McD, you can just barely tell it’s meat, and that works for me.

Oh no I like them too…the little chopped up onion are so good! My son who is 9 now had his first Big Mac and that’s all he gets now! He eats the whole thing! Good thing we don’t go there often!

    I LOVE A&WTeenburgers 🙂

  7. Tessa says:

SKL that cracks me up'”Can barely tell it’s meat”! So true. Tastes so good because it is all grease! I use to love those too. Now I like veggie burgers only. A real burger I wouldn’t eat without cheese and ketchup though.

  8. Sue says:

I like mine with ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. (Cali burger!) We have 2 different places out here that makes to die for burgers. Mom’s Cafe and SOB’s bar. Hhhhmmmm, who wants to go out for lunch?!

  9. Laura says:

When I make them here, from scratch, I like to brush the burgers (before cooking) with olive oil, and grind salt and pepper on them. Then I cook them to medium-rare (pink). Top with cheese. That’s it, just cheese. And the bun, of course.

When we go out, and I have the choice of toppings, I leave off the pickles and onions. Sometimes mustard, too. I like ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and, of course, cheese.

And for fast-food burgers? You can’t beat a good Culver’s Butter Burger!

mmmmm, I wish this town had a Culver’s. Now I want one.

  10. Lucy says:

I like veggie burgers, with ketchup, lettuce, red bell peppers and zucchini. YUM 🙂

  11. Just a Mom says:

If I am going weekend grilled hamburgers it’s ketchup, pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. And I like my veggies sliced not diced which is a big debate in my house!
If I am going gourmet, I don’t have to make it hamburgers give me grilled onions, mushrooms and swiss cheese with a little bit of bleu cheese dressing on it.

  12. Karen Joy says:

I like bacon and cheese with fried onions and mayo.
Also like it with mozza cheese fried mushrooms and fried onions with mayo.

  13. Morocco says:

Well done topped with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, bacon sometimes, mayo, and the bun buttered and grilled. I do not like ketchup or mustard. I really love burgers!

  14. birdpress says:

I just read that McDonalds and other fast food burgers use dog food quality meat and inject it with ammonia to kill the e-coli. Just a heads up for you fast food lovers out there!

I don’t eat much meat but I do occasionally crave a good burger! Josh and I will go out for burgers maybe four times a year. I never make them at home. I always order some kind of mushroom-topped thing. Cheese and mushrooms are my favorite burger toppings!
