Question of the day from SKL

When I was young I loved skiing, skating and sliding. As I’ve gotten older I love to snow shoe. Since I’ve gotten sick, it’s hard for me to breath outside when it’s really cold and I miss it. I’m hoping by next winter I’ll be in better shape and will be able to do more of it.
I guess I just love looking at Mother Nature’s artwork in the winter. I also like to shovel, as long as it’s not bitterly cold.
I can enjoy the old-fashioned kid stuff like building a snow fort or tobogganing, but I never learned to ski or ice skate or ice fish or any of those grown-up winter things. And I don’t have a great tolerance for being cold. Must have poor circulation or something.
Shoveling the driveway!! — NOT!!!
I really like ice skating! Which I haven’t done this year because it’s been too cold or the rinks are covered in snow. Damn GLOBAL WARMING!!
just walking outside. I know that sounds kinda weird but we4 dont have much of a spring or fall here.. fall happens in december here.. we jump from one extreme to the other (for texas).. The heat and humidity are hell on my asthma so i dont go outside much during the summer. I love winter.. I’m very hot natured so whats freezing to others isnt for me.. I love this time of year..
Snowboarding…. I LOVE it!!
You snowboard Lucy? That is so neat.
I’ve been ice skating since I could walk, and I absolutely love it. I miss it here… there are plenty of rinks, but they’re all inside and you have to pay to use them. Trying to get the local park district to bring a hose outside and freeze their precious soccer field… well, that just ain’t gonna happen.
So I go sledding instead. Poor substitute, but made better by a six-year-old with a handful of snow to dump on my head at the bottom of the hill.
Years ago when the boys were small, Paul would flood a rink for them in our yard. They just loved it but it was a lot of work. We have an outdoor rink in our town and we should use it. I don’t think I’ve been there in 2 years. I love to skate too.
Umm nothing. I don’t do any outside activities other than just playing or sledding. I didn’t live in snow until I was 16 so I didn’t grow up skating or skiing. I went to the indoor skating rink once when I was 11 and feel on my ass too many time to ever try that again!
I’d rather admire and enjoy it from inside sipping my hot coffee! 🙂
I loved skiing and want to do that again! Really fun! I love ice skating too. I cannot wait to teach Ben both!!
I love to Ski!
Beside skating, I love skiing also. But I have to admit, I am getting a bit scared. I have been fallen so hard on the ice, the last time I was skating. So I am getting a bit chicken 🙂
watching professional baseball games or spending time with my boys sitting in a chair on the driveway while they play.
