SHARE AUTO WHERE PEOPLE SHARE AUTOS. BUSES PLY EVERYWHERE . SO THATS ALSO A REGULAR MODE OF TRANSPORT FOR MOST OF US . MODE OF TRAVEL FOR US IS MULTI COLOURED DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE LIVING.

  2. SKL says:

I like walking! And biking, and I think I would like horseriding if I could do it more than once every 10 years.

If you mean motorized transport, I much prefer to drive versus fly, etc., within reason of course. I enjoy the long stretches of just watching the countryside go by. I used to have a rule of thumb for business trips. If the entire trip, from leaving for the airport to arriving at the ultimate destination, was not significantly faster by plane, then I would drive. This would be the case for any drive of 3-4 hours or less, and some longer ones if there were multiple stops. For personal trips, I normally drive up to about 8 hours (more if multiple stops). Driving is so much more convenient if you have a bunch of people and/or stuff to haul, and usually the cost is a lot less as well.

I’ve traveled very little by train, boat, and bus. None of them was a fabulous experience. Bus was the worst – need I even say it?

I love my bike, so that is an easy question to answer for me. But on long distances I love car and train.

We did the same, SKL, we had to go to San Jose for Dan’s work. We just drove up there. 6 hours, full of fun, nice snacks and nice music and of course……Nice company 🙂

This is sort of an open-ended question.

If it’s just around town then I like the truck.

If I am going “home” (over 600 miles) I would much rather fly.

OMG ITS NEGATIVE THREE DEGREES THERE NOW!!!

  5. Laura (LS) says:

I’ve always preferred the back of a horse. Unfortunately, my circumstances don’t allow that. And I don’t think society would appreciate me riding a large animal through a drive-through… although it’s one of my personal goals.

Bikes are fun, but not in the rain…

So I guess that leaves my trusty truck. And, when I can afford it or my brother shows up, an airplane.

Although I’d like to take a train trip sometime. It seems like it would be such a cool thing, to travel across the country on a train.

  6. Joy says:

I guess I’d have to say a car. I used to love to ride trains back in the day and I’d still like to take a nice long train trip someday. I can’t stand flying but sometimes it’s the fastest and only choice. I can’t stand busses and I’d drive before I took one of those. Yes, I’d pick my trusty Tahoe.

  7. Lucy says:

My bike or my car. I love roadtrips.

  8. Laura says:

Oh, you’ve got me daydreaming now… the brain goes where it will, and I just had a lovely little (daydream) trip on a Windjammer-type cruise (http://www.sailingshipadventures.com/displayPages/images/cp-tallship.jpg). I think that would be a really fun way to travel.

…’course, it’d be kind of hard to get where I need to go, being as I live in Iowa, and Windjammer Ships don’t go very well across cornfields…..

  9. Just a Mom says:

If I can’t be on a boat then it would have to be by car.

  10. Nikki says:

During the warm months it would be our bikes. We ride everywhere. Other than that I’d say a car.

  11. joz1234 says:

Riding in a car (I don’t like driving)

  12. Sue says:

I’m going to go with the car also. As I mentioned above, I’ve taken the train to New Orleans and that was one long ride! You see the scummiest parts of towns on a train so I was not overly impressed with anyplace we passed through on the way down. If you tell me I was going back to Hawaii, I’d be on that plane in no time, but I don’t like flying. Actually, it’s landing and take off I don’t like! The flying part is ok!
