To make you smile

A 1stgrade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class.  She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb.  It’s hard to believe these were actually done by first graders.  Their insight may surprise you.   While reading, keep in mind that these are first-graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is a classic!

My goodness, this is so good! nr. 22 is so nowadays.

aside from the fact that #26 (the last one) to me, is horrifying that a FIRST GRADER (age 6 – 7) would come up with that answer…. these are hilarious.

Josh is about 6 1/2. I’m thinking of writing these down and asking his answers – see how they compare with the answers given. If I do – and his answers are good, I’ll let you know.

Yes Laura, that would be neat. Let us know what he says if you ask him. Hopefully not many kids this age would answer like #26 did.

Okay, I tried these on my almost 6 year old…needless to say he’s not old enough to do it. BOO! It would have been cute. Laura, you should definitely do it with Josh. These were quite funny! loved quite a few. You can tell a lot of the experiences of these little people.
