My flute. Hands down. Fortunately, I’ve “carbonited” my computer, so that’s covered. So yeah, I’d definitely go back in and get my flute. I’d fight that fire hard for it – it’s been with me since eighth grade, and I’d mourn it like a child if I lost it. Ok, maybe not like a child. But close.
I’ve thought a lot about this since I did this question. There are two things and I think I’ve decided on my jewelry box. I was the first born girl on each side of my family and I have a lot of heirlooms that I want to pass down to Bailey, Trinity and Christopher.
Other than that, I have a tea-pot that I got from my grandma that she used to keep wedding napkins and memento’s in it. When we were kids she’d sit with us and we’d go through it but that’s only one thing. With the jewelry, all the kids would share it. Besides, the tea-pot are my memories and I wear this jewelry and they will think of me hopefully when it belongs to them.
That’s a toss up between my wedding ring (if I’m not wearing it) and all of my pictures. Both things can be replaced, but not everyone may have copies of the pictures I had and of the kids at different ages.
Go with the pictures. You can always REPLACE the ring.
But it wouldn’t be “the” ring he picked out and gave to me 😦 Who am I kidding, I would go for the pictures!
I think my PC and all the pictures in the downstairs area.
My computer. I don’t have a lot of “valuables” or “sentimental” things.
My computer and external hard drive… but this question had made me think about storing more of my stuff online.
Laura, what do you mean by “carbonited” your computer?
I’ve been thinking about this all last night and this morning. I was thinking my pictures but they are everywhere. I have pictures all over my house. So this got me thinking, I am going to put all my pictures on one of those hard drive things (excuse my computer ignorance) and that is what I will take with me.
When you come over today Nikki I’ll give you one. I have a spare and will show you how to transfer them.
I would go back for my important papers.
No question about it. It would defineately be granny’s 100+ year old cane rocker.
PHOTO ALBUMS…
My external harddrive and laptop…maybe the safe too if I could grab it as well.
Photos first old family photos. Jewelry second if I could grab something else.
